Arc Welder for 39.99 with a three year warranty from Lidl. They also sell the welding electrodes for 2.99

Pretty decent deal considering some spend far more for a Welder

Also comes with the accessories such as the shield , shoulder strap, chipping hammer with wire brush

Thanks, I'll get one for the wife to use.

Is this a current deal or a leftover from a few weeks back as I couldn't find them in my locals (NW London) after the offer expired? Which branch?

Great price if you can find one.

they have these in the Livingston branch

It's leftover stock from a couple of weeks ago.

Yep. That's my life in a nutshell. Go out to get her a pint of milk and come back with bags full of bargains. In my eyes they are.

Still the same price as 4 weeks ago.....no deal, move along. hotukdeals.com/dea…580
Ps. It's still a naff piece of kit..

Pretty poor post, repost valid by a day and people will look for limited left over stock...

great for a cut and shut

U buy rubbish tools lidi U do not buy a welder here is every one on here stupid weld with the dam thing 10 minutes it cuts off wait 30 minutes then to cool and start again

Ark welding is a skilled job. Don't underestimate the difficulty particularly on car gauge steel. Down hand on heavier gauge is a possibility but not structural.

It's £40. If your building some gates/fencing for home a 10 minute run time isn't too bad. It'll still save you a fortune over paying someone else to make them for you.

not the top quality tools but same priced tools from a different make are crap proportionally. 10min. continuous welding it is a lot and during pauses is got plenty time to cool. my very cheap old welder switches off for a max of 5 minutes but rarely and depends what I do

It's a leftover from about 3 weeks ago.

Decent price, cheaper than a couple of car batteries in series and probably does a better job.

you must be new here, a well priced turd in a box goes hot here

I remember looking at the box on the shelf, it said something like 75 to 100amp welding current range. Meaning its going to be difficult on very thin (car body type) material and naff all penetration on anything over 2mm thickness. You would be limited to 1.6mm to 2mm welding electrodes of 6018 type (as the open circuit voltage of the welder won't strike an arc on any rods requiring mlre than 50v ocv). The duty cycle from cold will let you weld about three 2mm electrodes, after each thermal intervention you could just about weld one more rod after waiting 10 minutes each time.
It's enough go give you arc eye but little else in return for £40.

It was the barn shaped on I saw. They did a rectangular one prior to this of a slightly lower output.
