so tempted to order but the thought of sleeping in the car for a week is putting me off
Crappy LCD. Crappy joystick. Crappy buttons. NOTHING like the Arcade experience. Nothing. You'd be much, much better served spending the money on a Raspberry Pi and good arcade joystick.

Edit: here. monsterjoysticks.com/arc…-pi

Just need a Pi3 and SD card and TV (which I'm sure yoi have). All for under £150 and while playing SF on this will feel FAR better you aren't just limited to those games.

Hot from me... been up at £300 for a while now. Note if you want the riser as well Smyths have them for £300 including the riser. Not sure how easy it is to get one on its own.

Think I saw the risers being sold at £50 a while back, but can't for the life of me remember where
Can you hack it in some way to play other games?

Yes, lots of guides on YouTube to do it with a raspberry pi. Not completely straight forward but can be done
What a find heat added

There's quite a few vids on Youtube showing how to mod it with a Raspberry Pi. This is one vid I highly recommend if you do go down this route.

Was that not the base to raise it up?

Yep that's right. Small wooden base the arcade machine can sit on. Quick search but can't find anything in the UK. Maybe worth keeping an eye out on ebay.

Just in the process of doing mine.
Fairly easy to do but costs can stack up.
If you have a pi with RetroPie already then it’s a good start.
It's a lot of kit for £230 odd?
Guy sells custom risers and other custom parts in the uk in this facebook group facebook.com/gro…84/
Fyi, there's an improved version of this due for release
i want 1
A couple of reviews saying theirs had dead pixels. Disappointing!
Arrrgh ffs if only i had the space for this 😪
Should have purchased when they were £120.
Trying to resist this..... I shouldn't but so tempting... not the easiest thing to buy and keep a secret from the Mrs and the kids. Then again, I could do the whole "I got it for the kids, for us to spend more time together while they still want to spend time with me before they get old!" ...works every time.

LCD is very average i admit but most people who buy these mod them and replace the joysticks and buttons. They are good fun to play

True dat. Time and expense you do this however it's still just a emulator.
Very cool, if it had money slots it would be even more awesome!

Good luck having a 2 player game on that stick.

But it'll probably never be released im Europe. I haven't seen others than wave 1 - have you?

You could plug in any usb controller/sick...2 player game on. Also. Just for arguments sake. You could buy 2 of these joysticks, Pi3 and SD card for near enough the same price of this arcade cabinet. 2 player arcade magic AND support a good UK business and NOT tax avoiding Amazon.

Improved how exactly? Also, any 'improvement' will come at a cost I'm certain, knowing Arcade 1up.

Amazon do occasionally (or did) stock them. I picked up a couple for £39.99 each last Summer from them.

I’ve no idea why they’re so difficult to find over here. Crazy IMHO

No issues with Monster Joysticks or supporting a UK company. Its just not really comparing eggs with eggs though in all honesty. This really isn't a bad deal for what it is - someone who doesn't want to be faffing about with emulator setup, downloading roms and having cables all over the floor. I can see how a kid would find this quite cool for his bedroom and there is many hours gameplay to be had mastering these SF games. I Saw these in the USA when the first models were released and they had had a tough life in Walmart's and were holding together quite well.
The Amazon thing is a moot point - I come for the deals, not the politics.
I'm too annoyed that these are like $99 in America. But I want one.

It's not that big you know...much smaller than people think. Take another look...it might just fit somewhere.

How do these compare to the old neo geos? Why aren't they freely available?
Better off with Pandora's Box 3D
