Finally (and I cant see it going lower than this, still in places at £500)

New Legacy cabinet, realesed this year with the updated 17" BOE monitor (and riser)

Cant believe it just came down ! 3 hours earlier I just ordered the Dragons Lair st £329 !

These are great for modding, adding what you want to them via a Raspberry Pi for many many gmes or keep it original as it's meant to be, guides and review all on Youtube

Oh and Quidco gets you just under £20 off, well the Dragons Lair tracked at £19 odds.....

Enjoy (and a lot more inc Pacmania down in price also)

Thats me finished spending this year

Retrogaming fans and pop-culture enthusiasts have been clamoring for it, and here it is courtesy of Arcade1Up: the Atari Legacy CENTIPEDE Edition home arcade machine, for the first time in a form factor shaped just like the original classic arcade cabinet!

Bringing you authentic (and yes, way nostalgic!) arcade experiences in an easily assembled design, Arcade1Up game machines are must-haves for your family game room, fan cave, or a welcome distraction in the office. They play great, look great, and are instant conversation pieces.

When looking back at the history of video gaming, there is no doubt which company was the trailblazing pioneer: Atari. A name that became synonymous with the arcade boom, and a powerhouse in broad entertainment.

Games:
CENTIPEDE
MILLIPEDE
ASTEROIDS
ASTEROIDS DELUXE
MAJOR HAVOC
MISSILE COMMAND
AKKA ARRH
CRYSTAL CASTLES

5 min novelty mate for 80% I've been doing Arcade equipment since 1985, still involved most days, it's a kinda thing that either sticks with you or won't

I recently upgraded my Pac-Man legacy cabinet to this ..

    atgames.net/arc…ni/

You can easily swap the screen from horizontal to vertical and it’s even got some pinball flipper buttons either side of the control deck for virtual pinball.

Little bit fiddly sorting your own games out but doable. I was playing King-Fu master properly last week and saying to myself “I’m so happy” .. hah

Would this not be a 5 minute novelty and then sat unused for years? Or do ppl use them regularly

Arcades with these in + a few consoles are becoming a thing again (pay one fee at the door and play on all the cabinets + consoles all night). A lot of them get these cabinets.

+ £19.99 delivery for every cabinet ordered.

£319.98 therefore would be the actual price.

These need to be FGPA and not emulation to justify the price.
    niefoon's avatar
If you mean FPGA then that's also emulation, it's just hardware emulation. A MiSTer FPGA set up is going to set you back £200 by itself then you need a controller and a monitor. Wanting FPGA on top of licensed games and the cost of the cabinet + monitor + electronics for £300 is just silly. It's never going to happen. Any company doing that would be making a loss.

sorry to ask but can you easily mod these for stuff like mortal kombat etc etc , thanks
    Conkers816's avatar
You want to go for a cabinet with joysticks and buttons on it rather than a trackball, but yes, you can.

If an idiot like me can follow this tutorial, anyone can

  16. GenuWhine's avatar
These are tiny and only fit for dwarves, you'll end up with back ache otherwise.
Save £319 and get an emulator, enjoy your own comfy seats and doesn't take up a corner in a room like this pointless junk
    Conkers816's avatar
Just one way of saying “I don’t know what a riser is” I suppose
