Free Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 Speakers (worth £199.99)!

Arcam's Solo music and movie systems have redefined the accepted limitations of all-in-one Hi-Fi systems, delivering audiophile music performance that has wowed customers and reviewers the world over. The Solo family provides the right answer for customers who crave high quality reproduction but reject the traditional pile of boxes high performance HiFi system. Arcam has kept the audiophile promise we have made for thirty years but can now deliver delightfully engaging sound from a single stylish and easy to use unit.

Building on the original Solo music system but in a smaller form factor, the Solo mini provides premium performance in a discrete and stylish unit. An ideal partner with the Muso speakers, the Solo Mini system features a CD player, radio tuner (FM/DAB or FM/AM) and iPod interface using the rDock or rLead. In addition a front panel USB input allows USB memory devices to be played (MP3 and WMA files supported).

I'm tempted to buy this and sell the speakers as I've already got speakers, although I've read some reviews and the word on the street is that they're a great match! Mmmmm.

Sorry. Cold from me. You can get it for £700 … Sorry. Cold from me. You can get it for £700 http://www.sightandsounduk.com/catalogue/p8056/184_193/HI-FI%20Packages/Arcam%20Solo%20Mini%20and%20Monitor%20Audio%20BR1.aspx?aid=800813 and better speakers too.

Good find, but I'm not sure I agree about it being a better deal. It's only better if you prefer the sound of MA BR1 speakers as the Wharfedale 10.1 speakers are £50 more expensive anyway. For bang for buck, it's very similar though.

I won't vote on this because I do not believe my ears will notice any diference in sound from my current HiFi gear costing less than half.
And even if they did, I never pay 110% attention to it which would be required if I'd spent that much on it.
So, it's the Emperor's new clothes to me.
But if you can afford it, it's like I told my cross eyed m8 when he said he wanted to be a bus driver...."I won't stand in your way".

i doubt i will buy another hifi its all about streaming

I prefer the sound of Monitor Audios with Arcam gear myself. I've got MA RS6 AV speakers with my Arcam AV amp. I found out afterwards that Arcam used the same set up at exhibitions, so I guess they like it too.
