Todays deal is £50 off any tablet (excluding iPads)
Still seems to be a bit of stock about so might be useful to a few
None near me sadly otherwise would have picked a few up

Voucher probably useful on some other tablets too

barcode number is 600020800003057, but is says to take your phone instore with the barcode saved on it, so I don't think this will help but good luck !

they were that price at the coventry branch a couple of weeks ago infact were £129.97.... nice tablet but don't like the mesh effect onscreen?!

this one is the 16Gb version, the ones in carphonewarehouse are the 8Gb version.
this is an excellent price if you can find stock !

No stock anywhere near Coventry or Warwick

even better try the Archos 80 G9 @ £199.99 with 10% off online - £180 then take £50 off using app when collecting = £130 ish, same price as this 101 deal.
AGAIN ONLY IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND ANY STOCK !

Nice discount! Thanks to OP. Mighty tempting. Appears to be good for:
Both Acer Iconia A500 32GB & Asus Transformer TF101 (no keyboard) £299.97 to £249.97
Xoom £329.99 down to £279.99
Sony S £349 down to £299

Barcode voucher mentions it cannot be used with any other discount, so i guess the 10% on-line and pick up in store option wont work. Anyone know for sure?

Makes you wonder how much more prices will drop this side of christmas.

nowhere in stock near to orpington. pointless exercise. has anyone managed to get one?

I have got £5 off headphones. Do you think they changed it already?

If i have done the maths properly does it mean after discount of voucher and 1.5% quidco the 16Gb Blackberry Playbook works out at £196 ish ?

Xoom has 10% off too bringing the price down to £246.99 using the code. Hot

Tried one of these in HMV... thought it had crashed untill I realized I wasn't pressing hard enough on the screen for it to work... put me off I must admit.

Ive got the voucher showing £50 off, it is possible to use it on a advent vega? If so can you use reserve and collect of does it have to be a new instore purchase?

Thanks for the help - im new here!

I think you may be thinking of the earlier Archos 7 home tablet which had a resistive screen and so would respond better to a hard press, these have capacative screens (like the ipad) so there would be no difference between a "hard" and a "light" press on the screen

Where do you put the code on reserve and collect? Never came up for me.

tried london, birmingham, leeds, manchester... none in stock! probably one in the whole uk lol

Oh hang on, can only use codes on home delivery

Bought one from the carphone warehouse a few weeks back and sold it within a week. Very very laggy, and very slow, would not recommend. But voted hot for price. Also very bad viewing angle

how do we use the bar code? Also the bar code says can not be used with any other discount.

I just reserved Arnova 10 inch Gen2 for £79.97 Happy Days !!!!

If you can, check it before you buy it, the Arnova is the cheaper tablet with the resistive screen so if you are in any way used to a smartphone/iPad capacative screen you will not enjoy the experience with a resistive screen

If you are looking for a tablet sub £100 then I would recommend looking at the Archos 70 offer from Carphonewarehouse where it is £99.99, a little bit more than your offer here but a lot better as a whole

Well this is out of stock where I am, and I dont think the 10% code works for instore collection (which you would need for using the £50 off code) so it would actually be £149.99, still a gd price tho and worth the extra £20 over the Archos 101 IMO

I wish.

Personally I would say don't buy one - I got one during the HMV sale, not impressed with it, it does take some serious pressing of the screen at times to get it to register a touch - very unresponsive, also the icons at the edge of the screen for Home etc - really really awkward to press and can take several attempts to register a touch, its quite slow at times flicking between screens on the desktop as well, to be honest I am using it to read comics on and thats it - easier to web browse on my htc desire as the laggy screen on the pad just makes it more of a pain than joy to use, will be flogging it once I work my way through the piles of comics I have.

Battery life is decent on it though.. thats about the only good thing I have found. Truly not worth the money, unless you want a pad that does indeed feel cheap.

You can't get £50 off tables that end in 0.97p. Also branches don't price match the online 10% discount. This is online exclusive.

Oh and you can get £50 off the Advent Vega

How can you use the code from the android app on home delivery.

Seems to be another deal getting heat but none available.

It's easy to give good deals when you don't haver any stock......

expired?

I have got the 8GB Archos 101. A premium quality android tablet it is most definitely not. Has a 1Ghz single core processor and 256mb memory and runs android 2.2, so you have to watch the number of apps you install. However, if you are prepared to spend a bit of time to understand how to get the best out of it (you dont have to be an expert - just interested), then it is a surprisingly capable machine. It excels at handling video and networking. I've got a 500GB usb hard drive plugged into my router and the archos streams video, music etc from it effortlessly using the standard software. For surfing, playing flash, watching bbc iplayer etc it is great. The hardware sometimes lets it down, for example, the screen quality is a bit so so, but at this price, it is a bargain. It'll do loads of things out of the box that an iPad cant. networking,HDMI to your flat screen tv, full size usb connection, micro sdhc card slot, built in kick stand etc. As a first step into tablets it is a good buy. Want super smooth and not interested in how it does it - then spend £400 on an iPad.

I may be reading it wrong, but it says the 10% is only online and not in-store??

Reserved a Vega - but might push myself for the Transformer or even the Sony S!!!!

You have to take your code to the shop. The will apply it at the till.

thought so but then I guess you don't get 10% online - me being greedy, trying to get both.
