ARCHOS 101 Internet Tablet - 16GB, £161.99, PC World and Curry's

Found 6th Dec 2011
Having missed out on the HMV deal for the 8gb tablets, I've been on a bit of a mission. I've had no luck at either Carphone Warehouse or Tesco who have been selling them for £150. Both said that they are out of stock and unable to say whether they will be getting more in.

I chanced across this at PC World. Listed at £179.99 for the 16gb which isn't a bad price anyway, but also with 10% off at the moment if ordered online (no store collection for this price).

This is my first deal, so I've probably made all sorts of mistakes...sorry!

CPW deal is now in stock , however who ever voted cold need to open their eyes this is 16GB not 8GB that CPW is selling at £150

Ah thanks for that. I checked the website yesterday and it was listed as out of stock and checked in at my local store who didn't have it either (in fact she claimed they wouldn't be getting it in at all...although to be fair she did seem like she was guessing her way through the conversation).

But yes, I'm not sure why people would vote cold. I was fully intending on holding out for the 8Gb, but for £161.99 for the 16Gb, I couldn't resist.

This Is a cracking deal 11.99 for extra 8gb

I got 2 for prezzies

Only going cold because its not an iPad well you fools keep spending your money on those over priced pieces of junk

You're probably right. Because of my job I can get 50% off the iPad 2 but I'm just not interested in the slightest. I have to deal with far too many problems regarding both the iPad and iPad 2, they're crazily overpriced, and I hate the closed ecosystem (aka iGreed).

It's a shame that people don't understand the site and vote as to whether they're a fan of a certain product rather than the deal itself.

you can buy a 16gb micro sd card for £9.69 so that would give you 8 more gig and still be a couple of pound cheaper than this deal, my eyes are wide open, i know a good deal when i see one and this isnt one of them

...or you could pay 1 pound more to have the 8gb onboard rather than a memory card, leaving the card slot empty for you to expand the memory even further. Absolutely worth just over a quid.

Sorry, but how do you get the 10% discount. It doesn't apply it to the basket at all?

It does it at the end when you pay for it.
