Exact same deal posted a few days ago from Morgan Computers so perhaps the 2 companies are linked? I any event the general feedback from HUKD members on this tablet is absolutely terrible.

£5 more could get the Asus refurbished which is pretty much brand new condition & better in every way

They are the same company - expired

It's a £30 paperweight. I had one, and the screen cracked for no apparent reason. A VERY common problem with this tablet.

Do you have a link to the Asus?

Never known a tablet screen just to crack with no outside influence, Googled it for a bit and saw no common trend for self cracking screens on Archos devices, so it cant be that common an issue. I've had an Archos 80 Cobalt for years, solid as a rock, just slow and poor quality screen compared to newer tablets.

My major bane with Archos devices is no support, your lucky to get 1 firmware update with any of their tablets.

Overall this tablet is nothing special, but at this price point what do you expect... I would advise spending a little more and getting something with more support and/or newer specs.

(not voted either way)

I suspect you're not a member of the Facebook group created for this tablet.

The screen cracks for no apparent reason because the build quality is appalling and the entire tablet flexes incredibly easily. Add to that a poor quality plastic screen that cracks under very mild flexing and you have your cracked screen if you dare to so much as carry it in a bag or pick it up in one hand by the corner.

I'm no longer a member of the group on Facebook created for this tablet, but there were dozens of complaints about broken screens. But if you can't find it on Google it clearly never happened.

Buy it if you want, but as a previous owner that knows many other previous owners with the same personal experience, my advice is to stay well away.

I had the 10" version and have for the last year thought, how the #@!? did my screen crack. Had it in an anchor hard case inside padded laptop bag for a 2 hour journey in the car. took it out on arrival and screen cracked. Never knew it was more of an issue than just myself.

Not a member of Facebook. Never will be. So you're correct.

cracks for no apparent reason

Its not an iphone, there not designed to bend...

But its good we see eye to eye on not recommending this tablet for this price, albeit for different reasons.

Something this big is inevitably going to be exposed to uneven pressure at some point in its lifespan

Indeed. Something this big is inevitably going to be exposed to uneven pressure at some point in its lifespan, so should be designed to handle mild flexing.

Aside from the delicate nature of the device it performed perfectly well for everything I used it for.

Morgan MAINLY sell Refurbished 'stuffs', if i'm not mistaken? .. & i'm assuming that this 1 is Brand New? ('figuratively' speaking?, lol).
But I could be wrong .....
