I have this tablet and although its good for its price, its the slowest thing ever. I'd add the extra £60-£90 to get the nexus 7 instead.

This is great for Internet browsing and watching films. I've loaded my apps onto an sd card which keeps it running smoothly.
Ive also got the archos remote app installed on my galaxy s3 so can control my tablet from my phone..which is fab!

With the high return rate of the Cobalt, I'm surprised that Tesco are stocking these.

Still too expensive compared to what else you can get in this crowded market.

I can see a fire sale of these around Christmas.

I heard that is copy of IPad mini with android. Is it that true?

is this any good?

Having got the archos cobalt in the spring and found that its now a constantly buggy paperweight and the last official firmware update (which Ive updated to) was way back in March of this year I will be stearing clear of Archos tablets. Cheap but not particularly cheerful.

The titanium range has a much better spec than the cobalt so I think its unfair to compare them.
For £90 you get an 8 inch ips screen at 1024 x 700, dual core A9 processor, quad core graphics, dual cameras, hdmi out.
Any other 8 inch tablets beat this price for the spec?

All reviews seem pretty positive, particularly on build quality surprisingly. Heat.

I agree it does slow down ive reset it umpteen times but it still slows down.

reset it again

Good tablet, parents have two, would buy one if it was less though.

If the reliability of the Cobalt is anything to go by, I would avoid like the plague. Archos customer service leaves much to be desired to, a simple search of the net shows this.

Never really had any problems with my Cobalt and it is used daily by a child. Tesco were helped by Archos to make their new tablet so possibly Archos are not quite the shabby company you would like to portray.

We have yet to see the reliability of the build quality yet though.

Apart from poor battery life and weak wifi this is a brill bit of kit. 8" screen - perfect - big enough to read a book on , play games and
read emails . At under £100 get in . Even bought the wife one and she is hard to please !!
