Just bought one of these using my £10 off Ebay.

Spec seems good. Like the Linx7, but a bit bigger and 2gig Ram. Will report on build quality once received, 48 hour delivery free also.

Edit... User guide seems to imply keyboard case might be included?! Main page doesn't mention it in box contents but user guide does. See pic in comments. Fingers crossed.

I have owned two and they were fine for what they were- very cheap basic devices.
They cease support before they ship from the factory. Probably the worst "brand".

Seems to come with the keyboard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ParWbqgjqLA

I would have thought being a common intel chipset, it should be well supported with windows?

I whole heartedly agree with you regarding that statement.

Did see that one but wasn't sure of it was as standard or not.
Was thinking of buying it to use as a book reader and Web browser - weight 508g... No thanks
Had an Archos JBM20 back in the day. Early 2000s, their juke box wan miles ahead of the iPod, doing colour video as well as mp3. Not as 'refined' as the Ipod, but much more powerful and interesting. Even recorded from your TV. Still working, same hard disk.

Also had an AV300 after that. Sweet. Still working.

Your Archos was 'PRE-Android' (whole different ball game), no 'Hard Drives' again, its all about 'Flash Memory' now (again, whole different ball game).

Not a like for like again?.

Only one thing connecting the OP's Deal & that of your own Archos is that they both share the same 'Brand' Name, & that's it .....

But I hear you, lol. :-)
you think they're bad?,don't ever buy a Prestigio!?!!

Yes I know. Obviously my comment was for general interest/amusement and not an evaluation of this deal.
Bought to replace a lenovo miix 3 7.85 tablet that developed a fault. Only tablet around the same size that has 2gb of ram and as the linx 8 and connect 8 both get mixed reviews thought worth a punt. To replace the miix 3 would cost £40 more than I paid so basically exchanging it for this.
Definitly no keyboard picked one up today.

Nice one pal. Any other feedback once you've had a play would be much appreciated.

yeah any feedback would be great as mines not been delivered yet, the comments on here suggesting archos are poor. Only using it to stream football, sky go, iplayer and a bit of browsing. Thanks
Its not too bad. A little slow and after 2 hours of trying to get this thing to connect to my xbox one, following all the instructions and troubleshooting options and even changing the router settings nothing seems to be working. Kind of a deal breaker for me in this case as this was a big reason i got the tablet.

A few other teething problems is that the browser seems to think that a lot of websites have a security issue and wont let me access them. There must be a way to combat this, as im only trying to install google chrome.

I havent used windows for 5 or so years so it could be related. But so far the experience is less than ideal. It will be heading back if i cant get my issues sorted.

I will update if i start getting along with it. = P
Final update. I started getting along with it. The tablet needs updates in order to get it working properly. If not the browser doesn't even like to show you any web pages without telling you their security file is out of date.

It has a few software issues such as the touch keyboard not showing up when required, such as when logging jnto steam. But this can be combated by switching to desktop view and forcing an onscreen keyboard to show.

Runs some low end games well. And is much snappier after i updated.

Happy days.

Thanks for the update, sound like it should be ok for my needs
Received mine today, did all the updates and just configured it to how I had my miix 3. Not noticed any difference in performance and if anything build quality is better. Wouldn't have changed the miix 3 if didn't stop charging but more than happy with this as a replacement.
No keyboard or cover included if bought from Currys I'm afraid. Difference box design than the one on YouTube. Just a generic instruction manual.
Anyone know where I can buy the keyboard and cover separately, not a universal one, I want the proper Archos one because it has a mouse pad.

I thought that also

I made the terrible mistake of buying a prestigio. Absolute junk did nothing but constantly freeze.
