good deal. this is what the rrp should be now

Emulation paradise, tactile controls!

Very tempted myself but I must resist!!!

I have a payday, and I don't need one. Op what did you do? I hate you...

Is this similar to a normal tablet?

This got quite poor reviews when it came out, it seemed to be the worst parts of tablets and consoles combined. But for £42 it's difficult to say no...

Thanks, rubbish battery apparently but for £52 (existing customer) worth a punt as a birthday present for the lad

Ordered just for Emulation, battery life 6 hours. Not to bad.

Thanks

Same here, SNES games on a touch screen just don't work. This looks very good though.

Just ordered as a new customer using the promo code - heat added

ive just installed a couple of ip cameras - this will be ideal to use to check home security whilst away on holiday - im a exsisting customer however to get the £10 off just registered another account - simple

for £42 I got a monitor for my security cams - im happy

I've wanted one of these for ages but never been able to justify it because I already have a Caanoo and a Dingoo and a couple of android tablets.

At this price it's impossible to say no to.

ordered one and if its naff it can go back

My 3 year old son cracked the digitizer on my mums android tablet and I've been waiting for something to come up to replace it.

I doubt she'll use the buttons but for £42 its perfect!

Keeps saying code not valid

Reviews are very poor but at £130. At £42 it's worth a play. It has hdmi out so might be a good cheap option for streaming to tv or just for throwing on videos for the kids to watch on holiday. Might be ok for emulators as well with a bit of messing.

Keep in mind tesco are absolutely terrible for web orders. In my experience they sell stock they don't have then take forever to cancel orders and refund your money. Despite what they say they take money as soon as you order they have with my order anyway.

I think I will use it for emulators for my son, will combine his ds, psp so less to carry on holiday and add some films as well

Will this be compatible with most emulators? Want this but it'll be pointless if I still have to use the touchscreen.

This will not emulate PSP or 3DS

it should run up to Snes/Mega Drive, but I the frame rate on later emutions will suffer

This should be an awesome retro RPG machine tho :-D

Will run mame / n64 and ps1 apparently

you may find it less stable to run ds and psp roms on this tablet though. Probably 20 frame per second for ds roms particularly which is unplayable. Look at the spec again it has similar spec to galaxy S3. For comparison my S3 can play a few PSP games but laggy. DS games are so laggy that is unplayble.

It would be good enough to run N64 and GBA, NeoGeoPocket games at least.

The problem you'd have is getting the Emulator to use the controls instead of the touch screen, make sure when your looking for Emulators that you get ones with pad compatibility, then all you need to do is configure it :-)

im sure it would, but at a playable rate?

You may want to have a look at the Amazon reviews. They suggest more like two hours if you actually use it for anything games related.

Still, heat at this price. I paid about this price for a joypad (Moga Pro - mentioned in the first Amazon review for this thing. It rules.) to clamp to my Note 3! (Although I suspect my battery life may be better .... )

Mario 64 runs at a solid 30fps on my s3 which is basically the same spec, I've not tried ps1 or mame.

A dual core should run a psp and a ds according to some youtube reviews

sadly the spec of the s3 is higher so I can see this being cancelled, what a shame

Don't worry about N64 games. I have a cheap dual core A20 chinese tablet which is just fine to run mario kart above 30fps.

nah it was for the ds and psp emulators, cant cancel it so have to go to the store where its being delivered to return it.. I will learn the hardway

Nice find ... Definitely worth a look at this price ... Here's a review for anyone who's interested : expertreviews.co.uk/lap…pad

What makes you think the emulator Apps utilise multiple cores? Last time i read up about it very few Apps on Android were written for multi threading. And the 2 cores in the gamepad are 1600mhz as opposed to the S3's 1400's which make them higher clocks, so if what i said before is correct I reckon this will run most Emus just fine, Also last time i checked DS Emulators were terribly poor performing even on the most powerful PC's! with rubbish compatibility rate, Let alone on any Android tablet.

Looking at emu sites it will run n64, ps1 and mame emulators absolutely fine.

It's £40 at the end of the day.

Hooray, I've got two PSP consoles, one my kid carries with her and one for my emulators, but even some MAME roms are a bit slow, let alone N64 or PSX.. One goes on eBay now and I'm getting this, thanks!

It has a button mapping tool that allows you to map a physical button to a touch area on the screen.

So the buttons will work with all emulators.

The emulation videos look fine to me. You can't expect much for £40. It was £130 at launch.

Got this gamepad last time for £45 no complain.

Most reviews mention the battery life is terrible if you play emu but since I have upgraded the battery inside and it lasts ages.

Heat added!
