Tesco are selling the Gamepad for £39 on their direct website, however what really makes this a deal in my eyes is when you use Clubcard vouchers as part of the clubcard boost promotion making this only £19.50. Granted it is older technology and it isnt going to be for everyone but for under £20 for those of you who do want it, it's a steal.

Free click and collect or delivery in 2-5 days is an additional £3, to choose your delivery date is an extra £5.95.

Product Details
Archos announces its first gaming device, the GamePad. This new type of tablet combines intuitive gaming controls with the Android operating system for an all-in-one tablet and gaming experience.

Physically, the GamePad is designed very similar to an ordinary game controller with full integrated analog thumbsticks, directional pad and 10 buttons, bringing back the physical sensations for games. The unique and patented Archos mapping tool works to make games compatible with the GamePad controls for an improved experience with precision.

Equipped with a powerful 1.6Ghz dual-core processor, the GamePad runs on the efficient Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Being an Android device, the GamePad gives you access to Google Play which in turn lets you choose from over 700,000 apps and games that are available for download as well as music, books, films and magazines.

The Archos Media Center has complete codec and format support that plays almost anything you could throw at it. Even true 1080p HD video can be displayed on the GamePad's 7" multi-touch screen. You can also copy files wirelessly from your home file sharing network with the Archos file manager as well as being able to read media from an external storage device, whether it is a USB flash or hard drive. The GamePad also features a mini-HDMI port so you can connect the tablet to your HDTV for a wider movie experience.

Also available on their Tesco Direct outlet on eBay for £40 with free delivery, however this is refurbished (with a 12month warranty) and you wouldn't benefit from the Clubcard boost. I'm adding the link here anyway for the sake of completeness.

I'm not sure you understand the clubcard boost. if you have 10 or more quid in points they double it. so if you have £20 in clubcard points you double up and pay nothing.

I'm not being condensending I just thought I'd help you out as this is what I got from your post

I do understand how the boost works, and this is exactly what i meant, sorry if it wasn't clear in my post.

It's a little old for £40 and I'd rather use my cc boost on something - but hey have some heat thanks for sharing!

Thanks X)

I believe this tab has hdmi out which is a bonus. It's got to be good for emulators. I've got a Sammy tab s and a hudl2 but I'm quite tempted at this price all the same.

Interested on buying for my 8 year old but not sure if its what he would want. Need to wait on my hubby getting in from work to tell me. Hopefully will still be in stock then. Will get £23 off in double vouchers, plus staff discount. Seems good to me.

Just went for it. Cheers OP.

Yes! Something cheap for emulation. Hot !!!

Not intentionally. I added heat because for the price it's not a bad deal and I'm sure others may get on ok with it. However... it is MY opinion that I thought it was rubbish particularly given what I paid that's all. I don't go around cold voting simply because I hate a product
