1gb ram with that high a resolution will make for a horribly sluggish tablet

Don't buy it I had one and WiFi connection kept going.

android 4.1 oO

decent specs indeed

One decent spec, the screen res. Not surprising the rest isn't up to much as it's nearly four years old.

What do you want for £39.00? OK it's 4 years old but will be more than adequate for basic tasks, YouTube, Facebook, Internet. One of the worst experiences I've had is on a current tablet nearly 10 times this price... I've just bought two Alcatel 10 inch tablets for my girls for Christmas, simular specs, around 4years old and run like a charm, HD films run effortless.... Definitely worth a punt in my eyes for £39.00

especially with the £10 off or at least 11% cashback, it's a no brainer really. I find with android tablets they all run well once you have completely got to know them and customise them accordingly

As a HUKD member, for £39 pounds I want £40+

£39 in my pocket and no tablet!! Cheap doesn't equal value for money - if I was going in with a £40 budget I know I'd be looking at 1gb ram, so I'd want much lower resolution. Something like the Amazon Fire 7" with 16gb for £40. That tablet would give a much better experience than the Archos. I had an LG G3 with a quad-HD display and 2gb ram, it was woefully inadequate and overheated all the time, because of the amount of pixels it had to process. Battery life was also poor for the same reason. So I went the other way and bought a one plus X with HD display and 3gb ram and it's very rapid and great to use.

Don't buy Archos! The only good thing I can say is that the hardware looks & feels good. The supplied Android firmware/software by Archos is just **** - no support, no upgrades, no alternative roms as archos won't opensource I'm stuck with a paperweight bought a few years ago
