Bargain. Fantastic jacket. I have 2
This jacket worth noting without a shell jacket. And in the UK on its own pretty much useless because it is not waterproof.

Yeah because it is always raining.

Not waterproof but good for a light shower...

Well it is raining from days now here mate
And the dwr does nothing. My partner has got dwr jacket and it can not stand in a light shower more than 10 minutes.

So you wear a waterproof Jacket EVERY time you go out?

W/E, don't buy it then. The rest of us who dress according to weather conditions can see the benefit of a warm, windproof & showerproof jacket.

You can not trust in this weather. I always have my Helly Hansen with me. I survive all weather condition with it.
I use them as a layer or stand alone jacket when dry, they are for keeping you insulated not dry, DWR beads well for a short time.
Was gonna say surely it's a layer, I have a decent lightweight waterproof shell that is always in my pack.

Apparently a Helly Hanson can keep you dry, warm, cool and sheltered from the wind in any conditions the weather could possibly throw at you.

Like you, I'll stick to layers depending on the current conditions.
Great price. Wrong colour. Unless Icke is back in fashion
I'm an anorak.... Can I help?
Cheers - purchased.
What's so good about it.

Warm, light, packable, breathable, Arcteryx use the best fabrics, basically the Gucci of outwear.

As others have said, this is for layering, which even if you're not serious about outdoor activities, is best to utilise. This is not for fashion and whilst useful to pop on for any kind of day out of trip to the shops when it's likely to be dry, I would always have my GoreTex shell if likely to be decent rain, or in my pack if I'm hiking etc.

Likewise, if it's hot but rainy and I'm not going to be up a mountain (where I would always have a warm layer too in case), I'll just have my waterproof shell. I don't know (or need to) what type of jacket your HH is, but if it can survive all weathers, surely it can get too hot when raining in summer?

HH alpha is my jacket.
I assume you have heard about breathable fabric...so so can still wear it in summer rain. I have just weared it yesterday in the rain. Temperature was 15. I was ok with it.
And who mentioned fashion? Do not be ridiculous man? I do not wear jacket because of some kind of fashion.

Just admit you're wrong and deal with it.
You don't wear a ski jacket for all weathers.

Three basic layers can accommodate any eventuality, this being an excellent mid layer.

You know what, I am tired to argue.
Buy it and get soaking wet if you want to.
