Features

- DECISIVELY IMPROVED: As semi passive cooler, the Freezer 12 also works extremely efficiently as the fan only starts up at a PWM signal with 40 % pulse width.
- SEMI PASSIVE COOLING: The 92 mm fan only starts up at a PWM signal with 40 % pulse width. This saves energy, extends the service life and makes the cooler at low load completely silent.
- INNOVATIVE VENTILATION: Fluidic analysis and long testing hours allowed us to push the fan efficiency boundary further. This is leading to greater airflow and cooling at lower noise level.
- OPTIMAL COMPATIBILITY: Fast and easy to install on AMD AM4 and Intel 115x, 2066, 2011(-3)
- EASY INSTALLATION & SAFE TRANSPORTATION: Thanks to different mounting models for various sockets and a backplate, the Freezer 12 is not only fool-proof to install, but also absolutely transport safe.

Used to have the i11 version of this, this is the improved version, when I had the i11, it was brilliant, small, quiet and the performance was excelent for the value
i have this. does a good job cooling my overclocked ryzen 5 1600 ( although i have recently changed the fan to a 120mm }. i purchased this model due to high restrictions inside my case.
get in my basket!
Keep in mind, AMD's stock ryzen coolers are so good that it doesn't make sense to "upgrade" to something like this, it's a sidegrade at best. Perhaps you'd see an improvement from a wraith stealth, the smallest wraith, but barely anything.

I remember articles showing even the venerable Hyper 212 Evo is a rather pointless "upgrade" vs a wraith max.

Yeah, very true, but the whinig from the AMD Coolers can be annoying compared to aftermarket units for some folks.Plus AMD cooler NEVER stop at all, no matter how cool a cpu is running, even at 26 degrees. Great price though. You would get £10 or £15 for your AMD cooler on a good day to offset against this..
Recently bought an HP Elitedesk SFF i5-4570 to use as a NAS. I find the stock fan fitted quite noisy - would this be good to upgrade (or would it be overkill)?
Actually, looks like it wouldn't even fit in the case

Ryzen 3000 series coolers are trash and loud

Maybe you're doing something wrong, even the tiniest wraith stealth on my 3600 is whisper quiet while batch encoding, 100% load for hours.
How does this compare to the Hyper evo 212?

The hyper 12 is significantly better. It has a bigger fan and an extra heatpipe. But its also £10+ more.

This Arctic freezer is a great cooler if you don't overclock. We use all the time to replace faulty/loud coolers,a nd its reasonably compact. It's the best cooler I've tried under £20.

Everyone has said it's a terrible cooler since the fan is no longer coolermaster ones plus no copper heatpipes

I've until recently used this cooler with a ryzen 7 1800x. It is not quiet at all. I have recently upgraded to a ryzen 5 3600 and the stock cooler is noticeably quieter despite them both running with the same overclock. Worth a purchase if you buy a cpu with no cooler, if you have a stock cooler, save your money.
Will this freezer keep my chicken nuggets cold
