Amazing value cooler, plenty of strong reviews around, mixes it with coolers twice the price (comparable performance to Noctua and Dark Rock) and even improves on may AIOs whilst maintaining very quiet operation.

Supports almost all CPUs (Intel and AMD Ryzen)

Red only at this price, white/grey versions a little more expensive and the yellow, white and green variant a few pence more!

Nice colour
Keep looking at this wonder if there is any improvement sustaining higher boost over stock fan, which I run a bit more aggressive and it stays around 60 while pushing 200fps in apex legends. Mine stays around 4200-4250. It sees 4300+ at the beginning while temps below 55.

Edit. 3700x I am talking about.

At the very least you should expect a few degrees and significantly less noise than the Wraith

Thank you. I have seen this thread, but nobody compared it with a stock cooler thermally, just noise-wise. The guy who gets 55 limited it to 50w thermal, but limited RPM too.

Should be a useful article for you (also points out that the fan curve will need to work to maintain silence if your system is ever 100% loaded - though other than synthetic tests, when does this actually happen?!? 50% load tests are much more representative in my opinion but if you are butchering your CPU with heavy loads, then you probably aren't in the market for a £35 cooler!)

Yes mate. I have pulled the trigger. It is coming tomorrow. Should shave off at least 5 degrees comparing to stock cooler. My pc is mainly for gaming, some c# I'm studying now and occasional streaming, but that is being done via gpu.

same pick it up tomorrow . See how it goes
Best cooler you can buy under £45. Only the fans alone worth £34.

I have bought 2 of these fans to replace Silent Wings on my Dark Rock PRO. They are in different leagues.

HEAT!

there is a "cpu cooler" group too.

Block RPM? Any sensible person would set their own fan curve based on noise and temps, if the motherboard allows it

That seems really unrealistic to be honest. Not sure what they were using under full load but whatever it was had to be weak.
This cooler is quite fiddly to install if your motherboard is still inside the case. Mine arrived today, shaved 7C off IDLE and 18C off full load.

What CPU and what are the actual temps?
Edited by: "rev6" 3rd Feb
I have one in each of the three PCs in our house, the most effective being my 7700k which had a stock cooler (yeah, I know!) that was screaming and still hitting high 90s (terrible case) under some loads, knocked ~20-25 degrees off (and HUGE amount quieter)
rev603/02/2020 22:48

Ryzen 5 - 3600 @3.9 Ghz. IDLE- 32C, FULL Load 58C. B450 - Asus Tuf.

58C load seems really decent. What paste did you use?

Also installed all this into a new case. Cooler master Q500l which us compact. This still has amazon temps considering it's half the size of a.midtower case.
This is the cooler i will be getting..been reading up etc recently and this is the best price/performance cooler out there. I was even looking at the snowman coolers but don't fancy the 1 month wait for them to shop to the UK.

Yes there is a difference about 5 degrees while gaming, maybe 7, but also boost is more stable and higher mostly stay at 4275 while gamint sometimes jump to 4325, then before it was going as low as 4175. Also voltage fluctuates less.

This should give you some sort of idea. The NH noctuas and Mugen are known to be very quiet, so best to compare it to them. The fans are also a newer version compared to the freezer 33 to make them more silent along with higher rpm.
Edited by: "ProTon_" 15th Feb
It is noticeable on my fan curve. On default should be quiet. However you shouldn't hear it over your gpu.
