One of my favourites, currently £10 cheaper in Tesco.

One of the very few whiskies you can pick up in a supermarket that's both non-chill filtered and natural coloured.

They just copied Tesco's deal. Whenever Tesco's has a good deal on Alchol. …They just copied Tesco's deal. Whenever Tesco's has a good deal on Alchol. Amazon immediately copy it. In my opinion you should reward the deal creator (Tesco) than the copier. In terms of the whisky. This stuff is lovely and worth the price. My second favourite whisky, Laphroaig Quater Cask is just pipping this to number 1.

I’m on the Quarter cask at the minute, although I have to admit that my uncle gave me a fair measure of Ardbeg Renaissance 2008 last week and it is 😋😋😋
The Ardbeg 10 is the culmination of their plan from reopening in 1997 and it is widely regarded as one of the best (the best to some).
I’m a fan. If you are, get yourself an Airbnb on Islay and go visit the distilleries. It is one of the best weeks you’ll spend anywhere.

Been £35 recently. £37 is pretty standard.

Never seen it at £35, standard in every supermarket is £47.

Has anyone tried Glenrothes 10 year old? Tesco are selling that for £28. It's chill-filtered and bottled at the minimum 40% but is naturally coloured. I was tempted to pick that up as well but was unsure of how good it is...

The freaky thing is, I was only saying to my partner this afternoon the thing I would absolutely love to do for my upcoming birthday was take a trip up to the Islay Island and then maybe go across to the neighbouring island of Jura and visit all the distilleries there.

But I do love Ardberg 10. But very slightly thought the Laphroag QC was nicer. I also love Jura 10 year old as my third favourite. But the Laphroaig and Ardberg are way out infront in first and second.

Its a Speyside whisky, as opposed to the peaty Islay this deal is for. In my opinion (pretty contraversionally mabye) but I think Speyside whiskys are just bland and uneventful.

The Highland or even better the Islay whiskies are way nicer due to their very strong taste features.

So Arberg, Laphroaig, Jura, Talisker, Highland Park, Ledaig I would say to go for.

Tescos are selling the Talisker Storm for £30 this one is very nice to try..

@Mark_EvansA8j can you suggest any more?

It's tricky to find a whisky with both those qualities and an age statement too.

Bunnahabhain 12 year old, currently £36 at Waitrose ticks all the boxes.

Lagavulin 16 is a firm favourite of mine, but having returned from Islay with a collection of Port Charlotte, getting more Port Charlotte and Bruichladdich for crimbo I have to say, I’m sold on Bruichladdich! Lol.
I actually have a Port Charlotte Heavily Peated 10 in my hand as I type! 😄
Islay has a whisky festival in May and all the distilleries release an edition for it!
Now that would be a birthday present to remember!

You need to get yourself a bottle of Dalwhinnie 15. That should sort out the bland and uneventful opinion. Lol.

Thanks, luckily I've got both already but if you think of anymore please let me know.

I agree Dalwhinnie 15 is bloody lovely. Sadly I never see it discounted but in fairness it's already well priced.

It is indeed. I tried the Winter’s Gold recently for a bargain price. For £25 it’s worth every penny, and you can usually snap up the 15 for about £35. Not much between them so if you see it for £25 have it away. Don’t freeze it though! Lol.

Ha ha, there was a limited edition Game of Thrones Johnnie Walker whisky released before Christmas which actually said best served straight from the freezer. I thought what's the world coming to!

Tesco is actually the better deal. Dont forgot those clubcard points.

Superb whisky BTW

Yes. It's good. Def worth picking up. Got mine for £25 iirc whilst they were clearing
Does anyone know if you can use the money off vouchers on booze anymore? I saw a comment on a thread recently which said you cant buy booze, so looked on the back of my £12 off a £80 spend voucher and it excludes alcohol. Never looked at them before so don't know if it always said that. I've used them to buy wine previously. Heat btw.
