A complex process that yields an astounding result - the smoothy peated yet perfectly balanced liquid that is The Ardmore®. Traditionally handcrafted in the Scottish Highlands, The Ardmore distillery has been watched over by a family of rare eagles, since 1898. This is a place, and indeed a process, that brings man, might and metal together is a celebration of the raw power of nature. Taste: Light, silky peat-smoke & creamy vanilla, balanced with sweet honey & spice.

Founded in 1898 by Wm. Teacher & Sons, The Ardmore distillery has continued to uphold traditional distilling methods, using only the aromatic smoke from natural, Highland peat fires to dry its malted barley. The Ardmore® Legacy celebrates these age old traditions with a liquid that is peated yet light, sweet and uplifting.

Also a few others in there around the £20/25 mark such as Laphroaig. Aberlour, Auchentoshan, Highland Park, and a few Juras.

Good...but one's a single malt Scotch whisky and the other a Tennessee sour mash whiskey. Neither are particularly exemplary but you're comparing apples and pears.

Always this price. It perfectly
okay for £20 but nothing exceptional.

Its £30 every where else at the moment.

Why is it that whenever a whisky deal comes up someone has to tell us that Jack Daniels perfume is cheap somewhere

I really rate this one for the price.
It's not overly smooth at first in the way glenmorangie 10yr old etc. is, but it's got character.
It's a bit smokey, quite peaty, and a nice level of complexity. I love it with a nice spicy cheese.
I guess if I had to pick another whisky that I find similar, I'd say johnnie walker black label.
It doesn't have the heritage of the more famous single malts but then I feel too guilty drinking anything over £40 a bottle so this one suits me fine...it's unpretentious and tastes great

For £20 any single malt is a good deal. It is always a matter of personal taste though. Personally I would never compare a blend against a single malt. Halfway into bottle of this and it is a nice everyday malt. I say go for it!
