GETGet dealVisit site and get deal
Note - existing Three customers only.

The current deal for Mix & Match 1100 for £20.25 (normally £27) is currently lukewarm. However, if you are on this tariff already at £20, and have been with Three for 15 months, then your existing loyalty discount of £7 will be applied along with the 25% discount of £6.75.

This means you can upgrade from your online account, and get a new phone with an 18-month contract for £13.25 (£12.97 after VAT discount).

1100 any network minutes or texts.

Phones available online:

Sony Ericsson W595
Nokia 6120
Skypephone S2
INQ1

To be fair, none of these are great phones, but the W595 should fetch £90 should you choose to sell it. I'm choosing to stick with my N73.

You may be able to get a better phone from customer services, but I preferred the no-hassle online route.

I took this deal into two Three stores and they said they couldn't come close to matching it - hopefully this will help some HUKDer who got the N73 or 8500 on the £20 tariff last year.

Please don't vote cold just because you're not with Three already.

Please be careful if you take this up - I did (due to kick in next month), but I have had worrying signs - letters stating £27 minus £6.75 & £7 (ie correct), but on hearing of others having issues, asked for written confirmation & got one saying £20. Tried to cancel under 14 day period, but assured it would be £13.25. Net result: expecting a fight. Take screen shots - as many as possible.

£7 loyalty discount? Been with them 3 years and not got one!

Original Poster

If you signed up for the £20 deal last year then the discount was applied as a loyalty discount.

lol I get a £25 loyalty discount!

I saw this the other day when I was checking the two 3 accounts of my partner's mum and dad. Was shocked to see a reasonably sized loyalty discount on a the already cheap tariff. I may get them to haggle with 3 to get a better phone, not sure yet. If someone does it first then report back to say which better phone you managed to squeeze out of them

Yeah I noticed this back in July when I was considering upgrading but then I thought I didn't like the phones that much. Additionally I had 2 previous tariffs with 3 on the £25 Text Unlimited both being 12 month contracts, told three I wanted to cancel them both and on the day of cancellation they offered me the following deal.

750 Minutes
150 Text
50 Picture Messages
50 Video Messages
£5 Download Allowance
All for £4.89 - it'll stay that price after the 18 month contract but I thought it was a excellent deal so accepted them both and then locked the credit to £0 and then gave one to me Mum and Dad... pretty sweet deal only thing that sucks is the Sony G502 phone bit tricky for them to use but other than that they well pleased.

Ha, Ha :-D Me too!

Just got a free Nokia 6220, 300 mins, unlimited texts, 25 video minutes, 25 MMS AND £5 free downloads on a 12 month contract. All for £5 a month.

I've posted this before but still can't quite believe it myself!

Who says Three are *****

I wonder if you phone up or give notice whether they will offer a better phone like the n96 or n97 (doubt it)

I'm on this price plan with 17 months gone I'm looking for a data plan really as the 1100 was really surplus to requirements, absolute bargain for that amount of minutes but really rubbish phones... probably hop to vodafone for the htc magic with internet, that nokia N71(?) blackberry lookie likey seems okay though

I say 3 are *************** . They tricked me into a contract and because I lost my Phone, and I couldnt use my Sim on any other Phone (3 Sims only function on 3 Phones). theygave me another Phone after I agreed to extend my contract for another 6 Months. I'm Paying £20.63 pm 700 mix and match, 300 3 to 3, and I'm stuck with them till sometime in 2011. And they gave me a Nokia N95 a few weeks before the N97 was due to be released wich would obviously devalue the N95. But they never told me that. And I had to pay £30.00 for a refurbished handset +extend my contract.

Just upgraded last month online and states I'm still on same tariff for another 12 month contract. Checked my bill for 3rd Aug and still showing discount, so far so good. Got the nokia 6700 so I'm well pleased.

Also the £20 accessory voucher works with upgrades online!

you won't get it for £13, I just had this out with them last night, they reconned the £7 loyalty comes off the £27 normal contract charge so you're still on £20
needless to say I cancelled my upgrade and will be going with Orange as my son just got 1200 minutes, unlimited txt, 500mb internet and a Nokia 6700 for £25/month
not sure what the contracxt length is though

If you do it online you get an order summary, and all the documentation through with the £13.25 clearly stated as the total monthly cost. Fairly clear contractually I'd say.

Cool - cheers guys - repped!

Just went on the site though and I can't seem to upgrade online... gives me the options (great phones for free might I add inc sony c903 which flogs for around £200 on ebay) but I can't order - gives me an error page when I click pick. I wonder if three are changing this or something :?

I didn't get the paperwork with the contract charges on, which it said was included, that's why I rang them
maybe they're getting wise to it ?

unfortunate dude but you really should do some scouting yourself as well, they are not obliged to tell you a newer handset is coming out as they need to clear out their old n95 ...anyway I broke my n95 and got a 9.99 huawei on virgin, unlocked it and it works with 3 so don't know why you think 3 sims don't work on other phones ...cos they do.

sorry to say you mugged yourself by agreeing a 6 month extension for another handset

thnks for this useful info - just found out that i can get either a nokia 6220 or a 6700

anyone any thoughts on what to go for?

I just phoned 3 as we have a contract that runs out soon. They were not going to go any lower than £20 a month (which we already pay) for mix and match 1100. However, for another £1.50 a month they were able to offer the Nokia E63 as an option.

Think I might look moving to one of the deals with e2save.

Upgrades wont offer you anything good, you have to ask for your pac code and wait for retentions to ring you back. Different department & much better deals

Haha thats class and wouldnt expect anything else from three customer services.

Shame it's only them offering these kind of cheap deals otherwise nobody would have been with them. They are only good till you have to deal with the CS.

online or by phoning up

got the mix and match 1100 when it was posted it on here before for £20

contract ends beginning of next month

this deal is good but i've still requested my PAC code (they finally gave it to me after 45mins on the phose to CS after being offered half a dozen 'amazing loyalty' deals that were only available to me ) as a means of finding out what deals they'll offer to me to stay throught the proper retentions department.

i'd prefer a better phone that what they have on offer but for the price cant really go wrong with this. i dont really intend on leaving anyyway so if i cant get a better phone out of them by the time my PAC expires ill just upgrade online with this

whatever you do don't touch the 6220, my missus recieved one as an upgrade ...it's got a stripped down slowed down camera from the N95, it looks like a toy and is really cheap tacky plasticky plastic (yes that obviously plastic) the keys especially the soft keys are really really terrible and not tactile ...flat, it's poor and going right back

no wifi so you need a data plan for just about any besides call/text, the "free" 3 months nokia maps needs data ...just a cack phone - typical 3

How much loyalty discount do you get? I wonder if they've limited all the online upgrades for people with too much loyalty discount...

yes error for me as well, so im afraid you will have to ring the dreaded customer services, god help you

I thought I'd phone to see what they could do seeing as I had an Internet Max addon and haven't used anywhere near 1100 units during the entire contract.

£20 Internet Texter with E71. Same as new customers. Pressed a little, he went away and came back with the same thing £17.50 (matches the Vodafone deal).

I've pretty much given up with 3 retentions. There must be a trick to it, but damned if I can find it.

3Pay, however, looks amazingly good value. £10 for 600 texts, 150MB net and unlimited 3-3 calls for 90 days after top-up sounds pretty good. The rep just couldn't understand why I wouldn't take the E71 deal and even lied about 3Pay (30 days not 90, then only 90 days in total not per top-up). He then even suggested I should upgrade because I'd need a new phone because my battery would by now be failing. FFS.

3Pay: £10 per 90 days = £40 per 12 months + £250 for SIM-free E71 = £290. Equivalent to £25 ppm on 12 month basis, £16 on 18 months.

And seeing as I don't text all that much I could live with £5 every 90 days, especially when I use Fring for IM. Go for a Nokia 5800 for £200 (minus Quidco). Equivalent of £18 on 12-month, £12 on 18-month.

In both cases, no contract, and an unbranded unlocked phone. 3 lose 90% of the value of my contract. Their loss...

No matter how cheap, no matter how many free minutes, the call connection is not stable enough, drops out after 10 minutes on 3 network, not good enough for business use. I would recommend the O2 sim only deals with 800 xnet and various bolts ons for £20, quidco ect

I had the Mix & Match 1100 for the last 18 months on a 18 month free line rental deal (company went belly up though and I lost most of the money). Rang up to cancel my contract, the day later they rang me back and said I could keep the same tariff, but instead of £27 it would be £16, and I would also get a Sony C902 and £200 of Dixons vouchers. I got £140 for the phone after fees etc, and £160 for the vouchers - so £300 altogether and the contract will cost me £288 for the 18 months.
