Brilliant deal if you or a friend are a student, available four days a week unlike the ongoing Orange Wednesday deal. You need to print out a voucher: one per film booking for two people.

It doesn't look like there's any limit on the number of vouchers you can use, so you could print out a few and have a whole day of half-price movie viewing with a lucky friend!

(Look down the Top 20 list on the right of the page: it's number 1.) Enjoy!

EDIT: have tried editing the deal URL link, but it won't let me. However, remove an l from the end of the web bar address, or type 'cinema' into the search box, or just use the link on post number 4! (Thanks to lmaolmao and JackBaur)

For terms & conditions, see post 40.

Possibly because students seem to have a reputation for rioting and spending much of their time in pubs, making this deal a waste of time if that is the case ?

didn't work in firefox for me, but did work in opera and chrome. could be an addon i guess.
Link didn't work, but type in 'cinema' into the search and it comes up with the deal.

Don't need any student ID for this, just sign up anyway bring along the voucher and bobs your uncle. (_;)

????
Need to make sure you check what films are available to watch with this before going. Generally the latest releases are not available to watch, which is what happened when my friends and I went to watch the Hangover 2.

+1. I think you'll find students merely protest (9k in debt per year is alot for tuition fees)
Have you been to the cinema, cos im sure you will find lots of students. (technically no longer a student, but shhhhhh! :3)

Do you both have to be students?
The deal URL just has an extra 'l' on the end. I have done this deal in the past but the only films you can see are the ones with (or without, can't remember) a star next to them on their film list. Most of the recent releases or half-decent films are not included in this offer. Bargain tuesdays is a better offer IMO.
this deal is recycled more than rubbish

Depends on the cinema. Some will ask to see student ID from both of you. Best idea is for the student to go up and buy it, whilst the other person goes for a little wander...

Yeah, both users have to have student ID's to use this.

+ 1. Glad it's not just me.
Just to confirm, have seen many a 'student' get turned away because they've 'forgotten' to take their student ID along with them. Also seen people get turned away when they tried to buy on their own as a student whilst their friend has gone away for a wander.

Also I think last week they put a flash new notice up stating explicitly that to qualify for any student discount everyone has to show their student ID which must also explicitly state a valid from and expiry date.

Be warned!
I do Open University. Does that count?
Just don't buy a 50p bag of penny sweets for £7, take your own and it should be a good deal. Then again, some of them think they have the right to search you now (lol)... sod it, stay in and download a movie, the cinema is full of morons anyway.

I eat lots of baked beans and Pot Noodles, dress like a scruff and drink in dives with sticky floors. Does that count? (_;)
You can swap £4 worth of Tescos points for a Cineworld ticket on the Tesco reward website. It seems like the cheapest method for none students if you have a few reward points saved up.

the other half was issued with an NUS card last year when she was on an OU course... so yes... but you need the card in order to get the deal

Do you have a valid student card? Such as NUS or something?
voted hot even though the nearest cineworld to me is 40 minutes away

They need to spread out more
A good deal and been using this for at least a year to see films. It's been posted on here a few times.

I normally go to Rochester and both people going to the film need to be students and show Student ID.

It also is NOT valid for 3D films (in the terms below the printed voucher) - although some of the staff still give you tickets for 3D films at BOGOF - depends who you get.
I'm pretty sure someone else has posted this before..either way, to use the voucher, both has to be students with a valid student ID WITH expiry date
This deal has been around for years.

No that just makes you a scouser!
with the clubcard vouchers, is there any limit on when vouchers can be used? i.e. can you use them friday/saturday night?
FWIW, Cineworld classify 15, 16 & 17 year olds as students - i.e. in theory you probably don't need an NUS card for this deal if you can prove you are likely to still be at school......

From the FAQ section on the Cineworld website =

Up to what age can I buy a child ticket?

Children up to and including the age of 14 can use child tickets. 15 to 17 years old are charged as a student price (proof of age may be required). 18 years and above should purchase adult or student (proof will be required) tickets

Age Categories for Cineworld Cinemas Tickets

Ticket type Age restriction where applicable ID required

Children Up to 14 years old Proof of age may be asked
Students 15 to 17 years old Proof of age may be asked
Students 18+ NUS Card Or Local College ID

Watch out for freelist suspended showings. These normally apply for a week or 2 after a major blockbuster comes out e.g. I tried to see X-men after the opening weekend and was turned away. Harry Poter 7b will almost certainly not be eligible for this deal for another week or 2.

As far as I can see Cineworld don't even bother to mention this on their site, so call up before you go in.

Thanks for this, not that I was going to see HP, but would save me from seeing another new movie.

Orange Wednesdays it is for me then.

Only if you are not going to use them for something else as £ 4 of deals could be worth up to £ 12 if you use them for something that isn't discounted through another route. Orange Wednesdays and Bargain Tuesdays are the best deals but obviously they are only available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (or maybe it's the other way round).
thank you
Cineworld will not allow you to use this voucher on any "NEW" releases.

Best to wait 2-3 weeks mimimum before attempting to use this voucher.

Worst cinema of the lot. Its a shame they dont put as much effort into kicking the idiots in a film OUT as they do making sure you dont bring food IN.
