surely if 160 is the true value then I could buy one from argos and then walk straight into the pawn shop and make mullah?

Note: previously been on sale at 64.99.

RRP doe not mean the same as worth. It may only contain £10 of gold and be worth £20, but they are not in the business of being generous otherwise they would not be trading. So they mark it up and then have a "sale" to sucker you in, all in the name of profits.

Gosh, some mean comments! Surely the price is less important than the sentiment? We're not all gold diggers ...

Retail price is ridiculously inflated. Most pawnbrokers will only buy/lend on the weight of the gold, especially considering it's a load of small diamonds. Going by a weight of about 3g, you'd be looking at around £25 if you're very lucky.
