This has made an appearance here before and is well rated so I was pleased to see it on offer again, I bought one for local pickup despite it being out of stock locally so I imagine it isn't a complete wild goose chase...

I've got this DA but it's under a different name, Challenege Extreme. I bought it from Argos last year with the 3yr extended warranty for £47 so couldn't say no.
Done a number of cars with it, literally just got home from my mates to do a test patch on his nasty looking paint, here's the 50/50 shot below left is before and right is after.... The product I used was Meguiars Ultimate Compound and a orange Hexlogic pad. Next would have been the Ultimate Polish with white pad followed by a sealant/wax.

The power lead is a bit short at 2m, you can find a guide on how to extend the cable which i was going to do but ...I now have a issue with it, using it on speed 6, the speed dial will drop to 4 / 5 due to the vibrations.anyone else seen this?May walk in tomorrow and see if i can get it swapped out.

What you using speed 6 for applying sealant or wax?
Thanks for posting @B_B we have added this to today's Highlights

No stock anywhere according to the website, so adding this as a highlight might cause more frustration than good.
Wash , magic eraser , wax . Boom done
how noisy are these ?
2m cable... cant to the other side of the car... or the roof (annoyed). Unless you want a power extension block scraping over your paintwork while your polishing.
If anyone wants one and lives in or near London, I got one reserved in Stratford.
PM me and I'll give you the reservation number.

Have you actually bought and used these pads from this seller, if yes how do they compare to others?

Far to fast for cutting, you should be level 3 for that or you'll get holograms/buffer trails from the pad

All polishes are noisy it's expected with something spinning at such high rpm lol. If it's extremely noisy the bearings could be knackered or on there way out

Worth keep checking local stock if you want 1 because people reserve items online a don’t bother collecting or just plan forgot because they were surfing hotukdeals drunk and just can’t remember lol
1 left at Dursley Argos in Sainsburys if anyone local wants one
Still some I'm and around Swansea

I'm assuming you can use this product for any colour car?
Still some around Devon
This works well. Pads and backing plates from Aliexpress very cheap. It vibrates a lot leaving your hands and fingers numb after a few minutes.
Recently bought a Makita cordless sander, Makita DBO180Z 18V Li-ion... amazon.co.uk/dp/…F95 Would this do the same job as this polisher? With the correct pads of course?

Correct, ignore the fact it's called black, it's just part of the model name. Check out my IG (@blitzdetailinguk) and you can see the effects it had on a range rover yesterday

Magic eraser?! Please upload photos of your paint so I can have a giggle
Does anyone know if you can just buy the pads themselves and put them on an angle grinder? Don't fancy forking out for the machine when I already have something similar.

This machine is dual action so you are less likely to burn through your clear coat etc. That said i'm pretty sure you can get an attachment for an angle grinder from amazon.

I use mine at about setting 4 and it's probably a bit louder than your average hoover. It isn't quiet but not overly loud to do in your front garden.
Thank you, been looking for a deal on one of these for a while. Reserved for collection this evening / tomorrow!

You'll ruin your paint doing this. There are specialist machines like this one for a reason.

I too learned from the master detailer that is Larry from AMMO NYC!

looking forward to using this to correct the inevitably rubbish Tesla paint quality at the end of the month before applying a ceramic coating. Voted hot although I think the old Challene Xtreme one always floated around the same price.

If anyone gets this make sure you buy some decent pads and look on YouTube for tutorials on how to take care of them. You do not need a compressed air machine!
I got one of these a couple of months ago and polished my 12 year old 3 Series Coupe using Meguairs Ultimate Polish. Also improved some bad scuffs and scratches on my Father's Astra using 2500 Grit W&Dry and Ultimate Compound.
It works very well for the money.
Some Tips:
Before you do anything watch some videos on You-tube about how to polish and what compounds and pads to get eg:

Don't buy a set of 5 different pads (like I did) as you probably won't use all of them. Better to order 2-3 of the same pad types depending on what you want to do then you can swap them as you go.
The backing plate and pad which comes with it is rather large 7" but 6" pads also work. I got SPTA Hex ones from Amazon.
You can get a smaller backing pad off Ebay to use 3" pads for tighter areas. ebay.co.uk/itm…647 (comes from China)

I think speed 3 will be a little slow no?

Does that apply to bmw / vw to? As I've read that the clear coats are harder compared to other car makers.

Did I use the correct term.. Cutting? Or is it polishing? I used scholl concepts s17 after wet sand

Thanks.

Cutting is using a compound, polishing is refining the finish with a polish to the best possible finish. Some people do just use the polish but if you do both steps you'll end up with a much better finish.
Wet sanding is a whole new ball game, you want to stick to maybes 3000 if you aren't sure what your doing.
As mentioned above there as loads of good video on YouTube to help people out. Prep is key, as in cleaning, claying etc. I usually use an IPA 80% to make sure I've removed all the compound or polish before I wax

Extension would have to hang from above as it's more than 2m from the side skirt to center of the roof on some vehicles

Then buy a bloody battery powered one or grow longer arms.
Picked one of these up yesterday, bought some Meguiars Ultimate compound, pads and wax. Had a 05 pink Fiesta, half a day later its nice and red again and hopefully will stay thay way for a while
Here is a guide to which pad does what in different brands. Might need to turn your phone sideways to read the print. Hope it's helpful:
