This has made an appearance here before and is well rated so I was pleased to see it on offer again, I bought one for local pickup despite it being out of stock locally so I imagine it isn't a complete wild goose chase...

With high power and a slim design, the Guild Dual Action Car Polisher is suitable for polishing, buffing and sanding bodywork. It also features variable speed control for optimum versatility, and an adjustable front handle for maximum performance, low vibration and comfort. The set includes the polisher and 1 sanding pad. It is compatible with all brands of car polisher accessories.

The random orbit dual action means you won't polish the same section continuously, but it will oscillate in random orbits reducing the risk of damage to your vehicle's paintwork. It operates from the mains for continuous power, so you can use it for as long as you need to.

Guild power tools are built to last and come with a 2 year guarantee. So whether you are using a drill to put up a shelf or using a mitre saw to cut decking, you know with Guild power tools the products are built to last. Guild - for a job well done.

I've got this DA but it's under a different name, Challenege Extreme. I bought it from Argos last year with the 3yr extended warranty for £47 so couldn't say no.
Done a number of cars with it, literally just got home from my mates to do a test patch on his nasty looking paint, here's the 50/50 shot below left is before and right is after.... The product I used was Meguiars Ultimate Compound and a orange Hexlogic pad. Next would have been the Ultimate Polish with white pad followed by a sealant/wax.

The power lead is a bit short at 2m, you can find a guide on how to extend the cable which i was going to do but ...I now have a issue with it, using it on speed 6, the speed dial will drop to 4 / 5 due to the vibrations.anyone else seen this?May walk in tomorrow and see if i can get it swapped out.

Hi, do you have a link to the guide showing how to extend the cable. I did try to find it but havent managed to so far. Thanks
Having just bought a kestrel DAS & given info here 're clay bar, I overcame the 2 metre socket scenario by using a single plug extension which installed in a bit of thermal foam pipe covering to reduce the chance of knock, then any a step further & used some Velcro to create a tight loop in which the cable sat & hung it from the back of my shorts belt loop.

Simple as!
Can anyone confirm if this actually has variable speed please as some of the reviews say it doesn’t thanks.

Yes mine has one too
Thanks for replying going to pick mine up tomorrow
@Toon_army@chrissatchell you guys seem to know what you're talking about. Can you offer a beginner some advice? Looking to do my first detail soon, I have this machine and I've bought Bilt Hamber decontamination stuff. I've also bought Bilt Hamber Cleanser Polish and Double Speed Wax. I thought this was enough to remove swirls but now I've come to know that I need a compound to remove swirls followed by a polish. Which compound would you recommend I use before the polish I have and what pads would you recommend I use? Thanks in advance guys!

Honestly, the best way is use Scholl S20 black (compound and polish in one, and no your vehicle doesn't need to be black haha) and chemical guys hex logic green pad. That combination is the becoming the worst kept secret in detailing haha.

Thank you, much appreciated. Would it be pointless to use the bilt hamber polish I have after using the scholl s20 black? I have a new bottle sat here and it would be a shame not to use it.

No worries, yeah there wouldn't be much benefit to be honest, but you could use it in 6-12 months when you just need to do a polish and not a compound

Thanks for the info; I pick my Guild up this week from Argos Montrose. Do you have a link to the extra products please?

Just out of curiosity where does good old T cut sit in the hierarchy of finishing/polishing products?

For what specificaly

For 99% of my supplies really. Chemicals, pads, wax, everything really. There's probably only a handful of things I get elsewhere. It's mainly because the dude that runs it is mega helpful if you have any questions, I even ordered the wrong backing plate once and he called me to let me know and swapped it out. Decent loyalty scheme too!
These are back in stock in most places near me it seems if you're after one.
Got one today thanks.
