Where did you order it from?
Excellent system so easy to use and there customer service is great
I've got the V1 hive, works really nicely, very pleased with it
If you are not in a rush better waiting, these were £50-£80 cheaper recently, sure they will drop again

I dont understand the big deal with hive. I have it as it was installed in our house when we moved in. It takes up a valuable socket on my router and i find the thermostat often reads warm when the room is cold. Id much rather stick to a wired more reliable verson.

This is however a good price, normally 300 or so. Im not voting as price is good but i cant recommend the product
Fantastic piece of kit - the ability to control your heating from anywhere via your smartphone is just so handy. Frequently cheaper than £199 though, either on Amazon or via British Gas for their customers. Certainly worth having it installed professionally - they did a great job.
Is this easier to use than a wireless stat and timer I've lived in my house for 7 months now and still can't use or understand it

Since when were they valuable. You can get a 5 port switch for about a tenner.

Do you have a honeywell wireless stat with a green "eco" button on it by any chance?

That link was to the self install version, the Argos one includes professional install.
I'm personally a Nest Person but the Hive looks good too.

The thing that annoys me is that once you have Hive fitted, if you want to upgrade, you have to bin the old unit.

Once installed it is tied to the property and cannot be reinstalled and refitted elsewhere.

How is that even legal. For that reason I have to vote cold.

You can easily sell on a v2 nest thermo and even the remaining warranty is transferable.

That's rubbish. A switch will not add any perceivable delay to the network and certainly won't affect your ability to stream! Maybe people are getting switches and hubs confused although I doubt you'd find anywhere selling a hub now a days. Hubs "shouts" down all the sockets whereas switches are more intelligent and "know" what machine is plugged into witch socket and only send the data for that machine down that socket.
The 20% home discount is not applied at the checkout. It says it's been applied but the price remains at £249.
