These are a great price but worth noting they work on 12v.
You often see bad reviews of this type of led flickering when in use (in fact I've just looked on Argos and the most recent mentions this) but it's not actually the bulb at fault but the appliance driver/transformer, if you suffer flickering in a multi light fitting that has a few bulbs in it the simplest solution is to leave a traditional bulb in place and change the rest to these led's.
ALSO worth pointing out is these will not work properly with a dimmer switch so you'll have to have the dimmer on full to prevent flickering.
I use these without any problems in my caravan for the 12V light fittings. (edited)

I am so confused, I have never seen bulbs like these before? What are they used for? Electronic sandwich boards? Do you have to solder them in? How come everyone seems to know but me?

The extractor fan above my cooker has two lights, which take these G4 bulbs. You just push them in.

Anyone know how long these are? I need to replace some Ikea undercounter bulbs that are 21mm in the body (ex prongs). These look too long. (edited)

It's in the screwfix product information link previously linked. 36mm including legs.

Wondered why Argos were selling ice lollies at first glance

£16.98 at screwfix and in the picture they look exactly the same. (edited)

This was a big bonus, in reality they are 1.5w and not 1watt. Also brighter and small enough as replacement for the original 20w halogen in the kitchen extractor. No flickering at all. (edited)

Thanks, had several packs in stock at my local store. Was going to spend more than £15 on these elsewhere anywhere, so saved a lot of cash.

Thanks for these. Been looking to replace the 10 x 20w halogen versions I have, so these are ideal

    Quite bright.

Had to leave one halogen in my IKEA floor lamp else none lit when i put 5 in so it's only 80% more efficient.

I had to do the same with my ceiling light. Changed all 5 and it started flickering, then replaced one halogen back and was fine. I thought it was only me

Great find and price. Ordered 4 packs for our kitchen which are all 20 watts, so hopefully over time it will lead to a bit of a saving. Hopefully no flickering !

Just got a bunch of these, but the following happened:

    1. All of the lights in a multi-bulb fitting turned off after a few seconds

    2. In another fitting, these buzzed really loudly.

Not sure if I should return them?

Keep one halogen bulb on, change the rest with these led bulbs. Should work fine then

Thanks, will try later they also let out a pretty significant buzzing noise anything to try for that?
