Magnetic Spice sounds like some kind of legal high
Felt tip some X's on half of them & you're sorted for a game of noughts and crosses with your other half while cooking.

Does anyone knows which part is magnetic? The jar or the board?

Clear backed dymotape works well without looking like a school classroom wall

My mum has one like this few years back and she used sticky labels you use to use for addresses! Just right what it is and the best before date if you care about that and stick on the magnetic under side of the herb/spice tub

Look and smell works for me, only problem is fitting my big bag of Paprika into one these small tubs 😯
Can anyone tell me whether the magnets on this would be strong enough to stick these to a fridge door (when full)?

Probably best to decant into the pots and store all the opened bags in an airtight tub out the way.

Hmm, doubt it because we are talking door slams / jolts these are going to be cheapo magnets & cheap stainless steel, with cheap plastic see through windows & likely no seal other than the screw down mechanism, ..not conducive to keeping herbs in good nick.
I hope i'm wrong though.

I do like magnetic holders for stacking fiddly bits like this though, but want it to be proven airtight rather than the lack of detail in the write up on argos's site, ..returning items costs time & money.

Spices are supposed to be stored in dark cool place - these have glass that lets light in !

Cool & dark can mean non strong lighting, & temps under 25 c ...most kitchens are shaded & often the coolest room in the house (cept when the oven is on in summer)
& most commercial spices are sold in glass jars (Not brown glass like for vanilla extract etc) ...more to do with air-seal & where schwartz are concerned the shape of the glass bottle fitting in with all their others.

Not magnetic. I had one of these and the lids rust, they're also not sealed. It's rubbish.

Oops i almost forgot Jack Herer and the guerrilla farmed Afghani.
Amazing what grows in your local fields in a bag of John Innes no3 and some perlite lol

If they seal tightly then they should be good as I've found if theres any dampness around fungess will find a way in and your very expensive spice could be completely ruined when you go back to the cupboard a forthnight later.
Been after one of these for a while, good price, cheers opheat added

I disagree... cleaning up squashed, powdery moth residue is worse!
