I have a similar 8 cup cafetière at work and was looking for one to use at home. 25% off the usual price of £22.00 brings it down to £16.50.

Looks like an Argos chrome toilet brush holder! Omg, don't think I could ever drink out of that :
Good price, Robert Dyas has a similar one for about £20 and you can find them on ebay for a bit below that. Advantages over glass French presses: a) doesn't break, b) if you pre-warm the press with boiling water before brewing the coffee, the coffee stays hot for longer. For best results, it helps to have coarsely ground coffee to avoid sludge at the bottom of cup. I use an inexpensive DeLonghi burr grinder (about £30 or so on Amazon) on the coarsest setting, and French press coffee comes out great.
People will probably shout at me but I gave away my bean-to-cup Saeco X-Small and went back to cafetieres (long story, but it was tempermental, overheated a lot, ground and spat out grains - lots of waste - when it felt like it, etc etc). And, being clumsy, I tend to break glass/steel cafetieres after a while - but I have a similar insulated cafetiere to this and it's lasted well and is a good workhorse.
I picked one up yesterday and it’s actually the same as The Sainsbury’s one.

The one I have at work is the Robert Dyas version which is thicker and better made. But for £16.50 this one is fine.
