Bought a couple of these last year when they were on a similar price, took both back as there were flaws with both of them and exchanged. Same problems with the exchanged ones so gave up and got a refund.

Streaks in the paint, chips in the ceramics, uneven application of varnish of the wood, misalignment of the wood and ceramic sections and a broken arm on one of the shades. I maybe especially picky but I knew I couldn't live with the faults.

Fair enough. Sounds like shoddy work for something that illuminates itself to show off any imperfections.
