ooo, i really want to get my punchbag up in my bedroom, is it generally safe to hang on most ceilings? it would be attached to a beam of course, don't want the vibrations from the bag to destroy the roof or any structure really.

If you hang the punch bag off a beam, I dont see why it would not be strong enough to hold it, because after all, you're beam is supporting the roofs weight, so in theory it shouldnt be a problem, especially if its a steel beam.

I would be more worried about the bedrooms height, because remember you are going to have the hook, then the chains, and then the punchbag. You dont want it to be too low. Hope this helps!

thanks lionel, the beams are wooden, its an old house, my ceilings are reasonably high so dont think i'd need to be on my knees.

i had been looking for a stand but thats 50 times more expensive than this and then it says max support weight is 25kg, think my bag is around 30-35kg.
