Probably a mis-pricing and the image on the site is of the Samsung 840 EVO 500GB mSATA Solid State Drive. But maybe worth a punt.

Description from Argos site:

The EAN does come back as Samsung SSD 840, EVO Laptop, 500GB, SATA III when googled.

Annoying not to order, but better than waiting days for a refund, I suppose

Let's work this out. So 6 weeks for argument's sake. Simple interest (just for ease of calculation) at say 2% over 6 weeks is 0.23%

And if there were say 10,000 orders at £100 each then thats £1m x 0.23% = £2,300 for keeping the money.

£2k definitely a worthwhile money making scam taking place at a listed company.

I paid by pay-pal, so they'll have loads of fees. Less 0.9% for normal credit card processing (twice inbound & outbound)

In all fairness, if you're so strapped you can't afford to let a hundred quid's worth of credit be tied up for a week, perhaps you shouldn't be taking a punt on this sort of offer.
