Looks like a lot of tv for the money...heat...

I'm holding out for a 50 (ideally 60") 3D tv at £500. Think I'll be waiting a while. :-(

So you're wasting your days away waiting for 4 more inches? You're not an unsatisfied housewife, are you?

These things are really cheap nowadays! I paid much more for my plasma 3d 50 inch TV

Nice tv, quite thick though if planning to wall mount.

Only 2 hdmi sockets

Deal breaker. 2 hdmi is ridiculous

I have the 40 inch version of this TV, 3d is fantastic and HD is amazing on it. I have had several Optoma projectors down the years my latest being 1080p. The contrast and vibrancy makes my PJ look silly and I love my PJ !!

Would go for it if it was a smart TV

heat but I can't buy with only two HDMI

Plus £8.95 delivery. Not available for store pick up so you won't be able to use the Telegraph voucher.

Hdmi 3-1 splitters = Possible 6 Hdmi slots ( got mine from CPC via UKHD For £9:99 complete with remote ).
From WDTV live hubs (my choice) Smsrt Blu-ray players, Android boxes and right down to last fortnights two sub £25 net streamers the ways of putting smart features onto the screen are many and suit all pockets and needs. -- often way above the TVs own capabilities --( Streaming from all units on home network -- adding XBMC --built in hard drive storage ) --- A little lateral thinking and this screen will fit in perfectly in many Home cinema setups-Thanks - very hot ---Ordered mine a fewminutes ago

Looks ideal for the office wall at work

Seems a great deal if it comes with 2 glasses?

At this price, it is worth buying a cheapish (<£150) AV Receiver with speakers - this will give you 3 or 4 HDMI inputs, switching, decent 5.1 sound (which these televisions are seriously lacking) and an extra remote control to play with

2 HDMI Sockets isn't going to be a deal breaker for me as there are plenty of options out there.

delivery only, can't use voucher....however still hot

Get splitter, you can only play one video stream through hdmi anyway

"Smart TV" is just another buzz phrase. I've got 4 "Smart" TVs around the house and use none of the "Smart" features.

Just depends what content you want. Some people have set top boxes such as Roku, Now TV, ATV etc that provide the "Smart" functionality. Others don't. And they don't want another box on the shelf, so they opt for a smart TV for iPlayer, ITV Player etc.

I personally use the Plex app on my Samsung - saves having to buy yet another box, to take up yet another HDMI port and plug space.

So although "Smart TV" is another marketing gimmick, it usually just means that there is some form of online content provision. This is useful to most people.

Looks like the Telegraph Argos voucher is available for instore collection only, am I right?

Most of the time the "apps" are outdated or useless to begin with. HDMI ports are there to be used, XBMC + HTPC = perfect.

I find the Samsung ones work fine. It has its own App Store so new content is added and updates are produced as and when required.
However, I certainly wouldn't trust any of the apps from the lesser known brands, as I can imagine they are never updated (Samsung are still the only ones with ITV Player I believe)

I use PleXBMC via XBMC on another TV in my house, but Plex suits my needs a lot better than stock XBMC does - it's all personal preferences/circumstances!

Lots of clutter tho, I'd prefer a TV with WiFi & like the idea of being able to use my tablet or phone as a remote, I'm fussy tho lol. But saying that my bluray is 'smart' so maybe I could live with it. I was holding out for an Lg at this sort of price but I could be waiting ages so..

should still be able to use your phone as a remote if your network is wireless........my LG tv is connected via ethernet for speed and i can use my samsung phone as a remote if needed. still find it amazing how i can be sat in another room with my phone and take a screenshot of whats on the tv X)

Comes with 2 glasses. I got the 40" version for £430 last year. Amazing telly and picture quality for both SD and HD. It also has a USB port in the back for memory stick/Ext HDD that you can plug in and play movies and music off. Supports a number of the popular codecs, I think I've only had issues with 1 or 2 movies out of over 100. Would definitely recommend.

Also with a splitter you can't have different picture settings for each device. A lot of tv for the price though. Hot.

Do splitters allow you to use the HDMI CEC features?
