Usual price £499.99

Price now £187.99 + standard delivery of £8.95 = £196.84

Think can get quidco 1.5% on it to ?

Maybe some free delivery codes out there, not checked myself yet ?

Compare it to a similar table and chairs that is £319.99, see here: argos.co.uk/sta…htm

The diference between them seems to be the chairs, the cheaper deal has slightly lower backed chairs and is leather effect material, the £319.99 deal has real leather chairs.

Seems a decent deal to me for a table + 6 chairs, delivered !

Seems like a good deal now but I ordered the dining table with 4 chairs in November due to be delivered now. Unfortuantely, a month later and still no sign of delivery.

Not voted either way until my order comes through and I can determine the quality

The quality seems good, but as it is argos you dont really know. My sister bought an oak dinning table plus 6 chairs for £800, for me its alot of money but the quality seems excellent. But please post the quality of the set as it would be brilliant to see ... some pics would be great too!

Would be very cheap if it was actually made of oak.

Oak finish frame with oak finish rubberwood legs.

I doubt if the chairs are real chocolate either though.

My mate bought an oak-covered table from Argos (I don't know if it was this one) and it was really very fragile. The first time I sat at his table, I accidentally kicked the leg while I was pulling my chair in and I knocked a 3" panel of oak veneer from it. Underneath is just chip-board/sawdusty type stuff and it couldn't be re-glued. It really was a poor table. His table and chair set cost close to £500 though, so it doesn't seem too bad at this price.

I still wouldn't buy it though. Completely shonky.
