Its not working
Not working for me either. Argos have always had a crap website, you'd think they'd have sorted it out by now.
There's nothing showing in app for me but plenty of items showing on the website
most of the stuff displayed shows no reduction, and other stuff is the same price it has been for ages, I was looking for a jigsaw a few weeks back, was £15, now in the clearance its £15, massive reduction there.

True when you use the filters everything disappears.

I stand corrected. First pages worked in some categories but no content on second pages
Not working past page 1 for me either
whenever I want something from argos at the moment it's not in stock. I don't bother looking now
Argos are so poor. Poor communication, poor customer service. I will reconsider shopping here again. “We can’t currently see stock levels” it’s 2020
Something very wrong with their website
Argos used to be great These days too many of their items are top end price.
They have the odd good deal but few and far between.
Not working
I agree. Ever since Argos was taken over it's been crap.

Not like other retailers bother improving theirs. Plenty that auto refresh page when you select 1 filter option. If you have 6 then you have to wait after each option you select. Plus if you ask a question staff find the answer and post it.

Amazon is the worst imo. On Amazon you get people that have no clue and plenty that don't even own the product that try to answer. Not often manufacturer responds either. Amazon search an item. get 10000 results. select 4 stars and up and see 1500. Fine. Sort low to high and you see 824 results. Sort high to low and you see 900+. That makes no logical sense. Sort be average reviews. Let us filter not to show items with 1-10 5 star reviews.
Stop with the 60 pages of a single item listed in 100 different colours and sizes. It's 1 item fgs.

I coould go on. Like I did once before in an email to Amazon that got me a response about securing my account. Logic? Oh and the constant extra page pushing Prime. If I wanted it I would already have it. But I've declined 100+ times over the years take the damn hiint.

Clothes retailers where you select waist and leg length to see multiple pages but every time you select an item it's not available in the size you filtered for.

Clothes retaillers that have sales but still list out of stock. Reasonable sizes not for skinny and obese people. Also find getting size 30-32 waist difficult on new ranges. I'm not gorging to put on extra weight just to buy clothes. Stock more for people that are not eating enough for 2+ people and that actually exercise to maintain their health.

I could continue and use other sites for examples but you get the idea.

I do agree Argos site isn't great and sales often rubbish. But similar to plenty of other retailers.

Yes I agree with your example about sites listing out of stock items in the sale. If its not available to buy, they should delete it.

Don't see your problem with amazon been a member for 3 years and renew everytime
Fantastic service and sellers do reply if you email them not ask a question as that tends to get buyers answers which again can be really useful and honest.
Argos is a simple format that hasn't changed with the times but suits people that don't want Internet purchases and like the catalog
I've still got one on the side.
No same day delivery in many areas.

Totally agree with your views of trying to search intelligently on amazon. It drives me nuts. I posted the argos sale in case somebody could benefit from it and delivery slots were available. This will have to change and vastly improve real soon.
Sadly Amazon search is junk often- coming up - deliberately - with the wrong items. Customer service used to be good but having had awful service from India customer service and allegedly UK management I am boycotting them for a while I have Prime as I use the student workaround to get 50% off - would not bother at full price I also object to them being open and paying almost no UK tax whilst local business struggles rant over - vote with wallet

Prime wise
1) Ask once, twice maybe if I want it. Every single time? Pushy and unwelcome.

2) I select 'Included with Prime'
a) Can't search for items for that. It shows everything even if it was selected before the search
b) SAVE IT! I select it every damn time. Save the setting fgs

3) Organisation or boxsets still appalling. If I search for something show me that then left me explore the seasons. You get season 8 then 4 then 3 then 7 then 1 is flipping annoying. Stop showing stuff I have to buy/rent when I have included with prime selected

4) No profiles.
a) Another member of household watches something on the watchlist and it registers it for every user
b) I don't want kiddie programs showing for me. I don't want kiddie programs used when creating suggestions

5) The library view. Similar to others but still something I dislike. For example last time I tried I actually counted inorder to include actual figures in my cancelation message. First row of shows I counted 20+ items. Next row I count 20+ items identical to fiurst row. 3rd Row was just under 20 the same as first but several from 2nd row. 4th row was just under 20 identical to first row, and so on. So a vast majority of time spent scroll though the same stuff.
a) Organise alphabetically.
b) Don't show duplicates on every row or gives us an option to toggle them of if we've previously browsed them.
c) List view. Rather see text and a description than an oversized image that doesn't really help. I don't pick content based on how the actors/actresses appear.

5 applies to the majority of video stream content but wanted thopught I'd include it either way.

Without 2,3 and 4 Prime can remain dead to me. I'd rather buy Boxsets, Often Used, for any content I can't already access via Netflix.

Completely agree. I try not to order via amazon unless I can help it. More than happy to pay a little more to another retailer when I can.

I never understood what the big hoo ha was about amazon prices. I always found things cheaper on competitor websites. Very rarely could I find amazon really driving down prices. The issue with searching on their website and using filters is extremely off putting IMO.
What I do not understand at the moment is even when items are in stock they say do not deliver to your address.
I live in West Yorkshire, its hardly the Outer Hebrides.

I think it's their strategy. I was looking for a highchair. It shows for £39 whereas everywhere else it's for 69. Guess argos doesn't have item however price has been reduced. I think it's to create headache for other retailers and "feel bad" for buyer to pay double price compare to argos.
Argos website, rhymes with
Couldn't deliver for 3 days for me.

Picked up item 2 miles away from Argos in sainsburys 5 hours later after reserving after they delivered there

strange way of doing.
