I got one these from Argos a while back after it was posted here, it was nothing like the picture. It wasn't very good, top lid was incredibly hard to put on and take off, so i returned it even though it was only £6; got a Kenwood from Amazon instead, much better build and all around machine.

Yes, it's very difficult; you have to twist the lid around a little bit to unlock it before you lift it up.
Unbelievable - at this price you'd think it would electronically open itself from a single button press on an LCD touchscreen!

Was actually looking for a little Chopping machine this morning and spotted this on offer (managed to pick one of the last ones up at Oak Tree Lane before it was posted on here). If you buy it thinking it's a food processor, then you're going to be dissapointed, but for the money it's a good little unit. May only be 60W but it's powerful enough (as long as you aren't sticking whole veg in - which would be pretty difficult anyway given the size of the thing).

I'm happy with it for six quid, bought it for making humous, and it does it just fine (also done peppers, mushrooms, carrots, tomatoes, etc in it with no problems).

hows this at chopping onions?

Does it leak as it states it on the reviews? Thanks

Which shows that you have an (almost) pure mind!

BTW, the actual size of chopper can be irrelevant, provided it is used skilfully . . .

Don't be so silly! It was an honest review based on my experience of the item after people on this thread requested a review from people who have owned it. I was hardly asking for a touchscreen. The Argos value one i got was so poor not just because of the fact the lid was difficult to twist off and on with dry hands let alone slightly wet, but because it will eventually break due to the force required to work the lid.

If you actually search the forum, you'll see other people make the same comments, so it's hardly "unbelievable".

If anyone's interested in buying a MUCH better mini chopper, Amazon sell the best mini chopper, Kenwood CH180, for £13. I've used both, unlike some.

Let's just say 'large chopper' is a euphemism

when i saw this in the top deals of the day on the side i thought "value mini chopper" was one of those small remote control helicopters i has a sad now

no stock in 8 stores near me

Perhaps they need to because I'm not sure whether you (and the 3 that like your comment) understand irony

Oh this made me laugh, I did wonder if that's what it meant but I've never heard it called that

What do you usually call it then? A William?
