ARGOS/CEX - TURN YOUR ARGOS VOUCHERS IN TO CASH (or exchange for a different game)

My last deal didn't get much heat....

hotukdeals.com/tag/dea…75/

as a lot of folk got upset at the game of their choice not being in stock. However, if you buy COD 4 for the xbox 360 from argos with free home delivery

argos.co.uk/sta…htm

at £8.99 using your end of November expiry £10 voucher from the Argos offer running earlier you can exchange this for a £10 cex voucher giving you a bigger choice of used games - or £7 cash for sale only (which is not bad for a £10 voucher that was about to expire). You might have to pay postage to send it in to Cex, but its better than letting the voucher expire.
The Argos offer was * FREE £10 voucher code to use on a future online purchase between 1st November - 30th November 2010 Plus * FREE £10 voucher code to use on a future online purchase between 1st December – 24th December 2010
So if this lasts in to December you can repeat the process!

Maybe someone can spot a better exchange ratio between Argos and Cex - feel free to update the thread!

No - or I would have posted that instead!
I looked at the preowned games as they are all free delivery at the moment so open to everybody.

Ok, thanks, sorry didn't know what you were going on about at first,
"at £8.99 using your end of November expiry £10 voucher from the Argos"
it's late, but makes sense now, sounds good!

Thanks - unless you're getting something with free delivery the £10 online voucher isn't great as Argos standard delivery is £6.50. Just a way to work around it!

Ha Ha - getting cold votes. No doubt from people who don't have an Argos voucher - I love this site!

This is a terrible sort so much effort for what. Cold. Confusing. Cra*.

Not sure this is a deal, it's more of some advice.

Not really a deal as such but I appreciate the advice OP - heat added from me but it's still rather chilly in here!

I did this at the start of november i brought a game for £9.99 from Argos and sold for £16 on ebay BONUS

The only problem I have with this is.... every time I go to CEX they tell me they have no cash. Who the heck would take store credit to buy a game that some smelly oik has salivated over and it's £5 more than online. Even HMV sell new games cheaper than these guys.

God some of the games are two weeks old and in a right mess. All the shops reek too! If I ever go in I feel as if I need a shower.

Would I have to go and speak to the staff in CEX???

If so.. I will give it a miss..

Ah well. I've only ever dealt with Cex through the post - I didn't realize going in there was such an ordeal. Good point re Ebay you might get lucky as they seem to go for about £8 to £16 in a few cases.

You could use the £7 cheque to buy 140 flakes from Asda

New post title...
TURN YOUR ARGOS VOUCHERS IN TO 140 FLAKES
...surely that's hot

HEY WTF - EXPIRED???????
You can no longer use your November voucher, but the games prices are still the same and the Argos £20 voucher deal had a use in December voucher.

REPORTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
