Those crossfire results look impressive, but for a single-card solution doesn't the Powercolour 7790 look like better value?

Yes, if I was running a single card I would definitely want more power than a 7770. I play all the latest games and know I wouldn't be satisfied with the performance of one. I was tempted with two 7790's but the price was getting a bit steep.

On the question of the value of the code - check eBay for never settle codes...

40 might be a bit rich perhaps...

Bear-in-mind that 7770 cards are often under £80 too so you have to want the games or sell the code to get value here.

Esp as Bioshock Inf. isn't usually offered with 7770s (7790s and above?)
Edited by: "therealjohnpeat" 30th Apr 2013

As for power, 7770 is best card under 100 but 130 gets you half again the power or even more so it's your budget which matters....

And how much detail you demand and which games you play of course

Dabs will do you a 7790 for £115 (few diff brands) - you only get Bioshock Inf. but if you can't be bothered to sell codes that's a better deal again IMO

It all depends what you want - I'm slightly inclined to agree that as a solo card, you need a 7790 (or 650 TI Boost) but best results BUT a 7770 is a good card (it's twice as good as the one I'm currently using!!)

Also wondering if anyone's bought one of these before - you almost certainly won't get the reference card pictured but a diff. card from one of the cheaper makes (Sparkle/Powercolor or someone like that!?)

I'd hate to have to deal with the (non-existant) customer service at Aria for that...

Never Settle is a RETAILER incentive AFAIK, they should be supplying you with a code which you use at the AMD site to get Steam/Origin/whatever codes for your games - AMD don't handle that (in my experience).

AMD only redeem the codes - not every AMD card comes with one, it's down to the retailer to sort it.

Dabs are good at this - you just email an address when you order and you get codes back within a few hours (working hours) - long before you card arrives usually...

One 7850 is your better deal then - not much more expensive either - or a 7870 which is all the single card anyone would ever need

I'm still using my old HD5750 1GB card for almost 3 years. Yet I can play most of the recent games in 900p (1600x900) plus additional AA and minimal AO without lagging. Quality is still better than my ps3 by a lot.

It'll handle 1080p and med/high settings with anti aliasing off in most games...

I wouldn't have, Crossfire is a mess until they get this prototype driver out pcper.com/rev…ver

Was just about to buy this but noticed the title has changed to 4 free games not 5 now... they seem to have removed simcity 2013 which would have been the main reason for buying it so not sure if they will honor this or not.

Great price, crossfire and sell half of the games.

ATI say the 7770 only comes with the Far Cry games. Which games did you get? Hope Aria haven't messed up.

Different product entirely mine was a 7950 just same company hence the post

Doesnt mention Sim City anywhere on the Aria page. Only 4 games listed.

I was going to ask if this was a significant upgrade to my 5830 hwcompare.com/119…70/ I got it a couple of years ago for £60, how come this is slower but more expensive now? oO

they changed it.

hi,

i'm not all that clued up on graphics card n clockrates etc etc etc,

i do currently own a ASUS GTX560 Ti, how does this compare to the Radeon HD7770 ?

Many thanks if anyone can help.

looks a good deal,

Although - they didn't have my games on the 7850 deal, after much pestering (if i hadn't emailed THEM I dont think i would have received my games). I ended up with two copy's of Bioshock and Crysis- might sound good but I kinda wanted Tomb Raider if im honest.

Buy knowing you might have to 'jump' for your games/ and possibly have to compromise like I did on the titels.

Firstly, because hardware hasn't really gotten any cheaper in the last 3 years

Secondly because a £60 5830 would have been a massive deal even then - the last ones I saw for-sale were £110

Thirdly because this card doesn't need a nuclear reactor and it's cooling towers to operate - did you turn-off your central heating when playing a game? ;0

Great deal

Anyone know if this would fit in a laptop? Prob not but just checking!

Actually you're right, it was more like £90 looking at my receipt xD but it's not noisy or hot. Getting two power leads to power it was a pain though.

err no it wont

I recently sold sim city alone for £25, got it free with a 5600k APU.

Would I be better off with this or using a 6670 in dual graphics? I honestly think I could get most of the money back on the games alone..

has the deal expired now then?

Synthetic benchmarks mean nothing, especially where crossfire is concerned.

Expect vast amounts of micro stutter. Various games such as Skyrim will be almost unplayable in crossfire mode.

4 games now, they dropped Sim City
