Get Polybius, Jeff Minter made VR worthwhile.

'Polybius is a fictitious 1981 arcade game that originated from an urban legend created in 2000. The original game's actual existence has never been authoritatively proven,[1] but it has served as inspiration for several free and commercial games by the same name.

The urban legend is that the game was part of a government-run crowdsourced psychology experiment, with gameplay producing intense psychoactive and addictive effects in the player. These few publicly staged arcade machines were said to have been visited periodically by men in black for the purpose of data-mining the machines and analyzing these effects. Finally, all of these Polybius arcade machines allegedly disappeared from the arcade market...'

Down the rabbit-hole I go..

Skyrim VR sounds very promising as well, a great way to showcase the sense of scale in VR.

I would say This game is worth £20.97, though I've not played it on psvr.

Just sold mine from my bundle. Didn’t even open it. Not a fan of the teleport transport system. Not immersive at all.

Too bad you sold it as the controls in Skyrim were fully customisable, with the move controls you could teleport, use snap turning or smooth play like the regular game, with the ds4 controller you could either use snap turning or have normal smooth turning. Teleporting is just a default move feature to help some people with motion sickness that can be turned off in the control settings. Oops best run back and get your copy again mate.

But the whole idea is to use the move controllers to feel immersed. They lack that sort of movement control. Great for rush of blood though.

I hear what you're saying because even I didn't know about altering the move settings until I saw a video, but with the move controller you can have smooth movements like a normal controller with head tracking and use the move to draw a bow, it's actually fully customisable.

This game made me violently sick in the shortest time, so if you're prone to bouts of VR induced nausea then beware

I bought this on sale only a week or 2 ago from the store, was only about £15 or £16.

yup, i'm the sameNot sure what it is with PSVR but the motion sickness is …yup, i'm the sameNot sure what it is with PSVR but the motion sickness is always there....... I'm absolutely fine with HTC VIVE.

afaik PSVR games typically use a lot more frame reprojection (60>120 fps) whereas PC games on the Vive\ Rift can target true 90 fps more consistently (minimum recommended GPU is higher than a PS4's). Plus the tracking dosen't match the Vive \ Rift

vv Yea, can't wait for what the future holds

No don't get me wrong, have heat... Just a horrible port... has been patched and DLC but it really looks horrid to me.

Also if your not going to play Skyrim you may as well give your PSVR away..

Apparently takes a while to get used to motion controllers but you need it back and turn teleport off(have they patched smooth turning yet?).. a quick heads up though, I've seen the future and it will be discounted around Xmas.

Constructive. Just didn’t appeal to me right now. Will drop quick I think like GT. might pick it up when things calm down. Still haven’t started Fallout4 yet as I don’t want to get sucked in time wise.

Completed Robinson last night. Low replay value apparently so that’s going back on fleabay!

Same here. Still not got round to finishing it but enjoyed what I’d played. Stands up quite well on the pro to the vive version from what I remember too, but don’t think the standard PS4 holds up too well from what I’ve read

You can turn that feature off and use smooth movement controls, basically standard movement, same goes for Doom VFR
