Yet another reason to sign up to this amazing service, Ark is now included with your Xbox Game Pass subscription. I believe some accounts can still get six months for half price on the dashboard.

Blurb: Stranded naked, freezing & starving on a mysterious island, you must hunt, harvest, craft items, grow crops, & build shelters to survive. Use skill & cunning to kill, tame, breed, & ride the Dinosaurs & primeval creatures living on ARK. Team up with hundreds of players online or try to survive on your own in offline play.

Yeah I don't subscribe to it fully, never will if they don't keep games

so you expect to fully install 100 games for £1 and keep everyone? really
OldGamer424 m ago

I'll probably end up de-installing Ark then.

So you thought you could get game pass for a month and keep potentially around 200 games?

Why would anybody subscribe if that was the case?

Game pass is simply the game equivalent of netflix.
Nice!

Game Pass is great

In theory they could just leave the games in there so there's less uncertainty. For me I wont subscribe again after they removed Fallout 4 last month as I was half way through it LOL.

It can be picked up for a fiver many places, it costs them to keep them on there and i doubt your £1 trial covers the budget

From vague memory MGS Ground Zeroes, Bayonetta 360.

December removals

Xbox One

Deadlight: Directors Cut
Farming Simulator 15
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
NBA Playgrounds
WRC 5

Xbox 360

Bayonetta
Injustice: Gods Among Us
I've checked this and I've signed up to game pass for £1 to get it, but it says that I can buy it for £18.99 with Gold, but does this mean since I've asked for it to be installed with game pass do I get to keep it once game pass expires?

No you “rent” it for as long as you have GP. This is Netflix of Xbox.

It is an odd move when things like licensing don’t force it to. I can’t see many people picking up the games they do remove through their own (overpriced compared to second hand market) platform.

Game pass is decent for the price. You only need a couple of games to make it worth while. Personally I thought ARK was a big bag of crap 🙈

I picked it up from CEX for £3.50

I tend to use GP for “smaller” games like indies or something you can blast through over the weekend and to try the big titles on there. If it’s something I like I tend to pick it up physically for pile of shame.

best service going
No not at all, if they kept all games i would pay £7.99 a month

I'm subbed up to October 2020

Tbh if you're into an Xbox exclusive stuff then it's worth the cost easily

If they continue to put Forza games on then I'll always subscribe. Really looking forward to Crackdown can see me playing that for ages

If they kept all the games, you'd be paying more than £7.99 a month.
Oh nice thanks!! Been wanting to try this for ages but too cheap to buy

Edit to say it didn't show up on the Game Pass page for me? But it does show as included when you search for it in Store

Guess you don't pay for Netflix or Sky then?
Thanks heatlight , downloading now as my son was going to buy this with some of his Xmas money .. have some heat
You usually get two weeks notice of what will be removed so I usually focus on one or two of those especially if it's an Indie game I can blast through. Enjoyed Brothers: Tale of Two Sons, Dead light this way, also Forza Horizon 4 on there (amazing). Is the £48 offer not still on Amazon for 12 months?

I believe I have read that MS themselves were surprised that people on GP actually go on to purchase the games, so I believe that the reduced price (when u have gold) and the game being removed from GP, with some warning, stimulated purchases of the game in question.

That said I got 6 month pass and it's pretty good value, I'm sure I'll be annoyed when they take a game off that I'm enjoying (and in the case of city skylines) I probably would go out and get me a cheap digital copy if on offer.

Is he not talking about games being removed from GP?
Such an amazing concept but the reviews aren't very good
Anymore games coming to GP this month, use to add a bunch on the 1st of the month, now seems spread out. Mine runs out on the 20th. Can't complain on my 7th month for less than £5
can't see it on the app yet... but found it on the website

They wrote if THEY don't keep the games. As in reference to MS removing games every month.

Not the user keeping the games after the subscription ends.
theukcrazyhorse2 h, 29 m ago

If they kept all the games, you'd be paying more than £7.99 a month.

Why?

Its not as if someone can physically play 100s of games in a month can they?
I don't know why so many people focus on what they take out and ignore what they add and what is coming. This years alone Gears 5 and Crackdown 3 are coming and all MS games remain in the pass forever.

I'm sure there are licensing agreements which mean games come in an out of the pass.

I still have Hellblade, Mortal Komabt 10, PES 2019, Below, Ashen and a few more that were added just in December to start yet. I'd also recommend "The Gardens between us" as a nice little game to try out on the pass. It's fantastic value for money, I'm not buying any other games at the moment (apart from Smash Bros on Switch!).
