The Joy of Dairy

We love dairy. Ice cold delicious milk on cereal, hot buttery toast, fresh cream on strawberries it's all good.

Dairy's rich in calcium and Vitamin B12. Unfortunately, it's also rich in lactose, a sugar that up to 15% of the UK population are intolerant to.

What is Lactose Intolerance?

Lactose intolerance is caused by the body's inability to break down lactose, causing nausea, stomach cramps, and bloating. Whilst alternative 'milks' made from substitutes may be lactose free, they also lack the goodness** found in dairy.

To find out if you might be lactose intolerant, take our quick test at

This month's? It was in May, but not June. Have been saving mine.

2 for £2 in the Coop, so 2 for £1.80 if you have an NUS Extra card :-)
Also doubles up as cat milk.

Thanks will Grab afew. Plenty at Local store.
This is actually very nice milk. I usually get the Arla 0% fat (B.O.B) and that is also very nice when ice cold.

Thanks. I know few alternatives out there but only one that I have used and works for me is the Lactofree one.
1 Carton is enough for the week and been paying £1.34 most weeks so £1 is a great price. 85p even better.
max expiry date I have seen is 3 weeks and so can get 3 cartons in advance. We have Cravendale in the house
but need to keep my stomach happy.

Just one more thing [Lieut. Columbo Mode: OFF] - once you scan the coupon, it might ask you to post the coupon in a small slot on the self service tills...I suppose you could inset a receipt that may be lying around...

Someone might possibly know that the self-service machines do not require you to post in Asda-issued coupons, only manufacturer's... Just sayin'
