LocalFound 22nd Jun 2016
Popular restaurant chain Toby Carvery is showing its support to the armed forces by offering all military personnel a free carvery on Armed Forces Day this weekend.

Toby Carvery, which has lots of restaurants nationally is inviting local armed forces personnel to enjoy a free roast dinner on Saturday, June 25, as a way of saying thank you for all their hard work.

Armed Forces Day is a national initiative for the country to show its support to the men and women who represent the UK in the Army, Navy and Royal Air Force.

Toby Carvery’s offer is open to all military personnel, from serving troops and reserves to veterans and cadets, and can be claimed by downloading a voucher and presenting this along with their military ID or veteran’s card.

This maybe too contraversial SteveDave4, and maybe this comment won't even be important for the majority of you. Some of you will ignore it and most of you won't bother to read and it'll go unnoticed along with other comments. Maybe I'll be criticised for this, but I just want SteveDave4 to know that…………. HE’S AN IDIOT!

However they don't make the same sacrifices, that is why the armed forces are special.

I'm presuming that you're a squaddie then as you sound like a school drop out or are just just on benefits as you probably haven't got the balls to join the armed forces
Great find Op, and very good for Toby carverv for appreciating the British Armed Forces veterans and serving!

You call people idiots a lot, considering the number of typos you make. I wish I could've joined the Army - sadly, I passed my GCSEs.
Well in as it's the wedding anniversary on the 25th and the missus is also ex forces,

You don't have a clue what your on about. I'm reading these messages and just laughing & really pity you. Best officer trg in the world, all qualifications gained are transferable outside the army. Every soldier needs maths & English to promote in the army? So unfortunately your wrong.

why should you have to buy a discount car! to show you are a veteran?! I have a veterans badge, proof enough!

Why? It's a job the individual chose to do. It's not like you are forced to join the forces. When you join you know the risks involved with that job.

EXACTLY!............you are absolutely correct, they knew they could get killed or maimed in a third world desert country such as Iraq or Afghanistan, and not for the pathetic minimum wage they received, as i have known quite a few men and woman, who left University and good jobs, to do their part for Queen and Country, leaving their families for what they believed was, the greater good!

So again, you are absolutely 100% correct, all those individuals did choose that job, no one forced them too, and they certainly knew the risks............and after all of that, they still did it!........Lest We Forget!
