Most are made in Vietnam and quality is excellent (unlike your spelling). Why do people spout such nonsense on here? If you don't know what you're talking about it's best not to comment.

Clarks shoes are made in Taiwan,China,India,Vietnam and England. India is a rather large country, that's such a sweeping statement like saying all shoes made in England are rubbish, considering India is roughly 13 times bigger.
Nothing new here. Same can be said for M&S, Clarks etc. As they try to stay in business/make a profit they will look to reduce costs and one way is cheaper labour/poorer quality materials. People can vote with their feet and not buy from these places, but then you'll have to pay 20-50% more elsewhere where the quality is better.

I just came out of Westfield London where they were selling bedding made in India at very high costs because the quality was top notch. Don't blame the country; it's the brand that's choosing it's factories, poorer materials and cutting back on staff training

You think all shoes made there no matter the brand, price, are of the same quality?

It is not because they are made in india, it is that they want to pay less and use lower quality materials, but then what do you accept at this price, if you pay £25 do not accept a well made product with good quality material
If I ever get to a stage in my life where I feel it's OK to wear shoes like that, please put me out of my misery.
Some Clark's shoes are well made but anything I've ordered via the online store has been quality akin to the discounted price.

I've never received a pair of shoes that would be considered at the original suggested price.

YMMV of course...

With respect the retail price on these is £85, so you would expect somewhat better quality than comparable £25 RRP shoes

But in saying that, £85 isn't going to get you anything amazing in regards to footwear, shoes/boots you're looking nearer the £200 mark for anything of marked quality
Every size available except mine. (13)

Ohhhh wow, so many butthurt people...
Last time I went to Clarks, every single pair I picked up was made in India.
Just wanted to know if the factory that make shoes for Clarks produce quality shoes or not.
Calm down!

But they were £85... so i would expect quality... That's what a discount means, higher previous value now for less
i bought a few pairs last time round, but then actually found them being sold even cheaper in the clarks outlet nearby. well worth checking store first

I have the same problem. TK Maxx shoes or trainers seem to fall apart at around 1 year. Clarks seem to be the same. I actually have a pair of Clarkes under my desk now that I wore for a few months. Look brand new, only a hole appear at the front and my toes poke through. All I did was wear them and walk. No running, football etc.

Quality doesn't seem to be as good as they used to be.35577367-89Z51.jpg

Generally accepted that standards are lower in India. Cheap labour. Not as well trained. Etc.

Bought some Clarks leather hiking boots well over a year ago & they are going strong; I'm very happy with the quality.
Personally, I still rate this brand.
Edit: Made in China BTW

You can backpeddal all you like but you were simply wrong.
A few pairs at the very bottom of their range were made in India (though I haven't seen any of those recently). The overwhelming majority are made in Vietnam.
All gone in minutes
Clarks customer service department will be very busy these days.

I believe that the quality of the product is determined:
A. By the brand.
And
B. By the price bracket.
So the country of origin might have some bearing on the quality of the product but I think its the price bracket that really dictates the quality. I'd bet the shoes that are being sold for say £25 or £30 were never made to be sold for £100 in the first place.
Too much time has been spent on this thread arguing about the country of manufacture or quality.
I’ve just bought 2 pairs of shoes totalling £28. Even if they last 12 months I’m happy with that.
There are still loads of styles to choose from and op has just happened to choose a style that is out of stock now.
With free standard delivery (without a minimum purchase) and free returns I’ve voted this a hot
