Don't want to step on Mrswitch's toes but found this deal for as new Huawei P20 Pro now £245 via o2 refresh. Both times mine have arrived unlocked.

I've had 2 phones via this & both arrived like new, with charging cable only.

Click on pay for phone in full, then once received cancel contract but tell them you want to keep the phone. Do this in my experience within 48hrs of getting the phone

Still quality phone with excellent camera & good battery life, a steal at this kind of money!

Reduced by £24?! Jeez, they'll be giving them away soon, plus a possible £75 via live chat, making it £170

Does cancellation affect your credit scores?

Did this with a tablet last year, they kept trying to take the DD, my credit score went from 999 to 600, took ages for O2 to sort, just getting run around from them promising they wouldn't apply for payment but still trying the next month, luckily I don't need any credit but if I did I wouldn't try this method on refresh again.

You can't use that £75 on as new phones.

Damn, that would have made this a killer deal. As is still an amazing one.
MrSwitch01/08/2019 18:44

Apparently it doesn't work on like new phones. Sorry people

No problem, thank you!
nice find, would bite if hadn't got an s10 already
How do you avoid paying the first month’s plan charge on these?
Does cancellation affect your credit scores?
How much of an upgrade is this on a Galaxy S9? Or hold out for the P30 Pro?
Tempted to go for this as a replacement for my Lenovo P2, another HotUKDeal!
Hi ... sorry a really thick question from me! How do you get to “ pay for your device in full” as in the picture...... thanks

£75 not available on like new handsets but ordered huawei honor view 20 for £150 after discount what's the best way to cancel after how many days to save monthly 29.99?
Edited by: "nauman.ahmad" 1st Aug
If only this had a wide angle camera, and a better version of Android. Great price though
Is this dual SIM?
usenetz02/08/2019 10:56

Is this dual SIM?

Nope, made that mistake. Ordered a p20 pro they delivered a single SIM p30. Sent that back to get the p20 pro only for that to be single SIM also. Both L09 models

Very impressed by the condition of both phones that I received. Both still had their original stickers and not a mark on them. They come in an O2 box not the original packaging and come with just the usb lead. No power pack, manual etc. Which they say they leave out for environmental reasons
Is there a better android phone to be had under the £250 price range?

Snap ! I'm sure I'd miss the battery life though....
ShaneDarch02/08/2019 13:07

Not in my opinion.... But ask @Mrswitch

I didn't think there is

Not off the top of my head either, no! Very little will beat this at this price.
Not unblocked, according to T@C...

Kindest regards
I note on the 30gb contract there is also a free gift - any chance of receiving this if you bought this phone and immediately cancelled the contract?

The potential impact on credit rating is a worry but still tempted...

Your credit record will show as a hard credit search being done (so a little change).

It will then show as being settled within 30 days (so maybe another little change).
Whats the situation with future updates and app updates. I read I read Huawei and Honor have been shafted by the american ban. ?
Prices coming down now they are seen as monitoring our traffic and losing the market. No thanks, no future for the phone.

A code comes with the phone. You can then order the freebie immediately and get it within a few days. I can't comment on the t&C's impact of cancelling

Hold on a second..

Your credit score waa 999? The maximum you can possibly have?

Good deal. I've seen them go new on ebay for 300 quid which I believe is over priced. 250 and under for good condition phone and you know what your getting is good deal. As with ebay u never know what u get till u open it.

Thanks! None of the freebies are amazing so not that big a loss if it were cancelled, but every little incentive helps.

Thanks for the advice - although I am more concerned that some have said o2 keep trying to draw the direct debit, despite repeat requests to cancel it - and that brings down the credit rating a whole lot more. But then I sense that may just be a few individuals rather than the general experience, given how popular these deals usually are.

I have the P20 Pro and it is still on December 2018 security update. Huawei have been terrible in providing updates on this device for me.

This was a flagship phone one year ago and their lack of support for even security updates have been terrible.

It is still an amazing phone. Probably the best I have ever owned.

Yes it was and is again but 02 applying for a DD which bounced dropped it to 605.

I like Huawei products but reading Johns comment I am not confident a recent Huawei mobile I bought for a present is likely to ever get updated. Having said that I have had several mobiles and tablets that never seemed to get updated. You just get on with it lol.
