at last, prices are getting rediculous.

Are prices lowering anyway? I noticed my local tesco had unleaded for 118.9 this morning, when it was 121.9 last time I purchased a couple of days ago. If Asda has another 2p of as well then things are heading in the right direction!

petrol will be 115.9 a litre(drop by 2p) & diesel will be 118.9 a litre(drop by 1p).

thjats good, that means shell will reduce there price

Wholesale prices came down by about 2p a month ago, and now it's finally trickling through

I currently pay £1.19 a Ltr for Diesel @ my local Morrison's, and i get the points with it, bonus. ASDA na points and same price... hopefully Morrison's will drop as well to £1.16
Fuel is Still hugely over priced IMO, BUT, I topped up this week MADLY on Veggie Oil : TESCO DEAL.... my garage is full of it now lol

Regionally, Yorkshire and Humberside remains the cheapest area for petrol (120.7p a litre) and diesel (122.2p a litre) in the UK

I work in Perth, Scotland and i currently pay £1.19 for diesel, Typical Engerlish media... Englerland is UK.. grrrrrrrrrrrrr

1.189 in the north west for petrol, 1.209 for deisel

watch out the"government" are going to raise vat to 20%

That's a bit expensive. Sure it's not 118.9 & 120.9

Not a huge amount, but you know what they say.. Every little helps

... oh wait... :-s

Oooo 2p off, woop de doo, what about the 15p they've added on for no reason since the start of the year :-(

Not the OP's fault he just letting us know it got another 2p cheaper. Heat

Of course, the other companies will follow. I just hope the media don't start calling this a petrol price "war". :x

The word "war" is used far too readily for minor matters such as knocking a couple of pence off the price of things, especially when they are overpriced in the first place.

It also annoys me when firms advertise money off things when they are as quiet as a mouse when they put them up.

Grumble over - thanks for listening.

Another marketing gimmick/con by ASDA.

I remember it wasn't so long ago that there was a big flashy asda press release, and the core message behind it was 'There is no reason on earth why petrol should be more than £1 a litre', as they dropped it from £1.01 to 99p a litre.

Within a week, they'd put it back up to £1.02.

ASDA = ********.

Dammit, only filled up yesterday. At an ASDA, too.

What a foolish thing to say. It's refering to the average price across the region, hence overall yorkshire is the cheapest area. Are you an angry scot with a chip on your shoulder?

I just think these type of threads are completely pointless, who's gonna go out of their way to save a quid when they fill up and therefore spend more in petrol actually getting there!

Cold from me

That's a stupid thing to say. I don't think anyone is suggesting people should 'go out of their way' to fill up. However, if you live or work near Asda or just happen to be driving past one, then you might as well fill at a slightly lower price.

Definately a HOT DEAL, At that Price you'll feel like you've stolen it !

I dont think it's stupid at all, if I was driving past Asda and saw the price had dropped then I would go in, I dont need a website to tell me about it!

Why else would you be reading this thread??

Can get it free in the mexican gulf, just take a big hoover across on a boat

its true, there is a clear difference in the petrol between garages. My car hates Shell and Tesco fuel, but loves ASDA's. I get another 30/miles a tank using ASDA's. Glad it hasn't got expensive taste

Why are you wasting your time replying to a thread your not interested in

1p, my cup runneth over!

Maybe it will only cost me £69.99 to fill up our Passat now.

Luckily we also have a car that runs on veggie oil. That's just saved me 78p per litre thanks to Tesco

Does not really matter it will be back up when we go to 20% VAT and the other 1p rises waiting in the wings !!!

why only 1p drop on diesel? like others have said, wholesale price dropped ages ago now finally they are passing some savings on to us. shame when it goes up slightly it takes then days to respond to increase their price.

My local Shell garage was at 119.9 for diesel this afternoon. BP is 5p more!

its a monopoly by these supermarkets - you cant tell me that all petrol stations price there petrol at 119.9 and the 3 down the road are the same without price fixing. Yeah sure

If you have a Hummer, that does 4.5mpg, then 25.000 litres will get you 25,000 miles, more than enough for most road users. Especially bearing in mind most cars do a lot more than 4.5mpg.

barrel last year $147... price at pump 115..... barrel now $71 ..price at pump 118...

Yes, the but the exchange rate has plummeted now. Makes it more expensive a barrel over here, even though the $ price has fell.
