Asda are doing a 3 for £3 on ALL the Sharwoods Indian range.

The most expensive item are (my favourite) the Biryani jars with a spice pot on the top which weigh in at £2.63 in store (£2.11 online), and the cheapest is still £1.63 (online).

Three individual instore biryani jars work out at £7.89 making a saving of a whopping £4.89!!

Tesco's, Morrisons & Waitrose aren't doing any Sharwoods offers so are full price, and Sainsbury's are only doing 3 for £4 on certain specific Sharwoods items. The clever money is saying that the prices HAVEN'T been inflated before, unless all the different stores are working together... unlikely!

Have a crack at the limited edition red-hot Bhut Jolokia if you've got the balls!

Enjoy! :0D

I'll get the beer and toilet paper ready!! X)

Tell me how it tastes: i've gotten old so I've sacrificed heat for flavour nowadays.... but it's still VERY tempting!
Not voted, but I have found the ones with the spice pot at the top in Home Bargains for £1.19 if you just want one.

Good price, but these things last for ages so it still works out cheaper with this deal.

One of mine has a date of July 2013 on it!! X)

I guess not that many people like curry! lol
Good price but the pataks paste is much better. Don't buy the sauce?
Original Poster
Possibly, I found Pataks sauce jars to be pretty bland and all the flavours taste the same but I've got a feeling the stir-in paste is much better..
sharwoods tikka massala is the best out of the jar sauce i have tried

i like my currys hot and this is the hottest i have been able to get from a supermarket i usually have to add my own bits and bobs to get the jars of curry hotter but not this one
This is another of those where the prices have been massively increased before the offer to make it look better than it is. £3 for 3 is good but to pretend that those jars were £2.63 before is ridiculous!

I enjoy hot food, but this literally set my mouth on fire. Had to alternate curry and icecream for each bite!
Dont buy the Black pepper masala one, it made me vomit and gave me the runs. oO

Yeah, that's what I thought, but if you look at other supermarkets who aren't doing anything on offer, their jar prices are pretty much the same...

In fact, on the whole, Tesco's prices are dearer the even the NORMAL price at asda!

It's all about the research, flower.

These are often on offer 2 for £1 in the poundshops. Avoid the Goan Vindaloo - absolutely repulsive. Tried washing it off the 1lb of chicken I had cooked it in and ended up throwing it all out.

Most of these are also like Dolmio crap in a jar "sauces" which is mainly made up of vegetable oil and water.

Can get Sharwoods cheap here Red Thai Curry paste case 49p

Coconut Milk long date 50p a tin

Black Bean case £1.99

Del Monte Pineapple case of 6 £1.49

Golden Wonder Chip Shop Flavour Noodles for the guy that thought £1 for ONE Pot Noodle was SUPERB

Sharwoods Schezun Case 12 in date £1.99

Sharwoods Popadums 40 for a £1

Etc, etc - you get the point...

Do the research..

Definitely just Sharwood's Indian stuff? I'm quite partial to their Kung Po...

I have some of the Sharwoods Red Thai Curry paste from a different seller dated May 2010 - is absolutely fine with a tin of cocout milk and haven't poisoned any of my children or freinds yet!
Bought the Sharwoods' Coconut Curry Leaf Biryani, and the Mint and Coriander Biryani's from Sainsburys for £1 each a few weeks ago (on offer) - lovely stuff!

Good observation but it reminds me of the post-Christmas Pringles thing. All of a sudden a £1 tube of Pringles was £2.48 in ALL the major supermarkets. Then they took it in turns to run BOGOF or BOGTF offers on them. Now they're back to £1.
Your "research" comment is good - it's always about whether the price you're paying is a good one based on what something is worth and how much you need it.

Well done, you've managed to find one single item (the popadoms) cheaper at a non-major high street retailer, and absolutely nothing else from the asda promotion.

etc. etc. you get the point?!

Yeah rdwarr, you DO have to watch out for the sneaky f*ckers! X)

Oh no - another obsessed poster who just HAS to keep going on about some phantom "whopping" saving.

RRP prices mean absolutely nothing. Unfortunately the products I posted DO actually give you a whopping saving over them.

RRP - £10.68 - sold for 49p Sharwoods case 12 Red Thai Curry Paste

As stated a lot of Sharwoods sauces are just vegetable oil and water. Better off spending a few quid buying the spices and learning how to cook.

Sorry that you are so offended OP.

Bit of an overreaction me thinks...

I agree but Meena's or Kohinoor have the most authentic 'restaurant taste' if you ask me.

I find Sharwoods curry sauces extremely bland so wouldnt buy them even at £1 but can see why others would.

That stuff is past its best before date... hardly a fair comparison as whenever this is the case the prices are always reduced!

Their point is its a very good deal on the more expensive pots that do not appear on other chains offers. The fact there is some other stuff on offer that isn't such a good deal doesn't stop this being a hot deal.

LOL - cold for exactly the same reason!
Sharwoods sauces are mild compare to Indian Pataks sauces which are always full of chillies. If the heat is too much in your curry, do not despair, just take 3 to 4 tablespoons of plain yogurt, beat it with half a tsp of cornflour & add it to your curry & it will reduce the heat.
I've had the Bhut Jolokia, first time ever I urgently needed milk with my curry, and felt it the next morning as well Hot stuff.

Yes - and if you happen to have plain yoghurt in you may as well make your own sauces!

Anyone who has actually bought these sauces care to let us know what the top 2 ingredients are?

I would be confident to say they are water and vegetable oil. - What a BARGAIN!!!!!!
And what about them Coke offers that get so hot? They're nearly all water - what a rip off.

Blimey, someone's incredibly bitter!! X) Just cos I like to give as much detail as possible and others have had a pop at your daft comments too.

It's okay, come monday you'll be back at school again and you don't have to concern yourself with any of this any more.

It's a shame that someone has to be soooo negative when all people on here are trying to do is point out a deal that others might be interested in. If you're not bothered by it, then let it go and allow others to either buy or not with their own free will, ya food fascist. X) Sharwoods, Pataks et al didn't get where they are if all their products are considered sh1te, ergo, there's a market for it.

You must be a bundle of laughs down the pub if you take THIS that seriously. X)

Biff!

260+ degrees of people disagree with you.

Perhaps you're bitterness comes from all your 'deals' being thought of by others on here as absolutely pants https://www.hotukdeals.com/profile/hollymia , regardless of your Delia Smith cookery know-how and ability to judge & criticize others who choose not to cook everything from scratch, whaddaya reckon?? Wow - you really are laughably obsessed with yourself aren't you?

You seem to be getting unbelievably tumescent about posting a deal on the internet.

I'm just glad that I don't get so excited, turned on or indeed angry about the internet.

LOL - sad....case.....

Do you mean a coronary by any chance?!

I'm just trying to inform others and let them make their own judgements... I noticed from all your posts on your own deals that if anyone disagrees with you, this is your usual aggressive reaction.

If your deals are that amazing, then why not just post them and let others either like them or dislike them instead of having a pop at why things you like aren't seen as fantastic and other things you dismiss are given heat... hotukdeals.com/dea…315 It's not that difficult to spend 30 seconds finding out all this curious stuff to see how a person ticks.

I suggest you have a nice, calming cup of tea and get over yourself, flower. Let's leave it there shall we before someone has to get you a bigger shovel.

...and you said you didn't get angry about the internet... shame on you!
