The Asda product description is empty. There is one question there - as yet unanswered - what does it do?

So does it receive sound, transmit sound, convert your car audio to receive sound via Bluetooth from your phone?
How is it powered if not connected to your computer?

I would imagine that it is a Bluetooth adapter that converts a non bluetooth stereo/device or anything with a 3.5mm jack out, to bluetooth. And then enables you to send music ect from your phone/tablet/pc ect....

I think you mean a device that has a 3.5mm jack in because the adapter has a 3.5mm jack out and mini usb (probably for charging/power), and the device is most likely a bluetooth sender rather than a receiver, however this is all speculation, surely Asda should clarify this.

Is it the same as this, which is not discounted but has a review which explains some of the functionality?...

Surely line out can only mean audio out, but it looks like a generic off the shelf prc special.

Hmm that review seemed to convert a non Bluetooth iPod to transmit to wireless headphones... In which case why does this adapter have a line out socket? I'm none the wiser really. Asda deserve a shot themselves in foot award for poor marketing. Will be discounted to £5 in the end then I'll buy one just to find out what it does.
