C. A Bargain

To be fair I think it's absolute turd compared to my best local takeaway but then a meal like that would cost me £30, it is edible and better than any ready meals you would stick in the microwave etc...

wbmkk, you could at least show something decent of Whitley Bay as your Avatar. Such as.......errrm, errr, hmmmm, oh ermmm, mmmm....

Yeah you're right, stick with St Marys.

These are actually quite nice and far less stodgey than real take aways, used to live off reduced special fried rices for 10p when lived near an Asda or sweet and sour chicken, almost as nice as the real thing just not as "perfect"

Have to say asda ready meals are trash and small portions - I'll stick to the morrisons one ;-)

I reckon Asda ready meals have improved recently. Their chicken korma used to be 4 bits of chicken swimming in a runny sauce, but the last few Chinese n Indian meals I've had form them have been pretty good and great value for a fiver.

Agree with OP, this'll do us and the kids. You could always get some more spring rolls and cook a bit of rice if you've older kids. If you reckon this is mean portions for 2 then that's probably why there's an obesity epidemic!

Totally agree, much nicer than they used to be. You could always buy another dish or boil some rice to pad it out a bit

We often get takeaway but do also get these from Asda and it actually tastes nicer than the chinese, portions are same size and far less greasy.....

Hot! & Spicy:thumbsup:

Shame they dont do one with veggie options.

I bought a similar one of these on Tuesday and cooked it last night. Followed the instructions as exactly on the packet, and half way through cooking the Chinese Chicken Curry exploded in my microwave, leaving me to clean the whole thing out, thanks Asda! So much for conviencience....

wow gonna check it out tonight when i go to asda

voted cold from me, bought one of these when they were on offer while ago, bad quality, beef chewy, but you get what you pay for!

Hot.....even though it's annoying picking peas out your fried rice.....

how could it explode if you had pierced the container properly?

I find it easier just to tip the rice and curry into a bowl and microwave it that way. It's a lot less hassle.

You didn't follow the instructions then did you, clever clogs?

Couldn't see any in Reading Lower Early

MEGA VALUE!!

We got one of these banquets for last Friday's tea - we were stuffed! ...yummy though!

We got another for tonight, but this time just used the rice, sweet n sour chicken, beef in black bean sauce and lovely prawn crackers, leaving the chicken curry, battered chicken balls, sweet chilli dip & veggie spring rolls for tomorrow....

.... got to leave room for the PANCAKES you see!!! (2 Shake-the-bottle Pancake mixes for £1 in ASDA!... ok I'm lazy!)
