Probably fair value, but may be all its worth. There's Gruyeres and there's Gruyeres. Same thing with cheddars etc.

Having had the Asda Gruyere quite frequently, I can confirm it is a nice nutty little number, certainly better than Tesco's one. This is a good deal

Not necessarily 'get what you pay for' I was just pointing out that they may/ will be slightly different.
I notice that waitrose's is 10 month matured, not a recommendation just an observation.
The only reason I posted was that it's like comparing low end cheddars, some will taste different to others.

P's. Asdas is cheap so if you like it that's good.

Not had one/made any in a while, I can feel a visit to Asda coming on !!!!!
