Asda is already 127.7 here as well...

So what Idiots think this is a deal!! Back in March oil was $130 a barrel. Av Diesel price was around £1.44. Today oil is $89 a barrel! Thats 30% down and on that estimation Diesel should be around £1.01. Even allowing for fluctuation in the £/$ exchange rate we're being sold on a couple of pence reduction being a great thing while being ripped off for £'s . . . . Come On . . Open your eyes & shout out about it . . . & for heavens sake stop thinking the mere pennies were given are from Heaven!!

Paid 132.9 at morrisons for Diesel on saturday - what a rip-off, that cost me 0.2p per litre more - needing 45 litres cost me 9 pence - 9 whole pence.

Don't understand this, as in Barrow-in-Furness the Diesel there is £1.34.9

But I'll take another penny off the 133.7 charged at the Warrington branch!

R

It's time people realised that these tiny reductions are still ripping us off and that the 'savings' to be made are so small (you'll spend half the saving driving back home) that they don't deserve our heat...

126.7 in Bishop Auckland for 2 weeks now

I've noticed that fuel is almost always 3p a litre cheaper in Bishop at most of the supermarkets than at the same supermarkets anywhere else in the area, and has been for quite a long time I think.

Same old rip off Britain again.

£126.9 Unleaded - Sainsbury's in York. They are cutting the cost but I have a feeling we should make the most of it as It will no doubt go the other way again soon!! Still a good price. BP should take notice of these prices as they are still charging about £1.41 for unleaded. Arsch!!!

I think it's the four big supermarkets having to compete with each other, especially the Sainsburys and Tesco opposite each other.

126.9 sainsburys in oldbury too

126.7 at asda great bridge

126.9 sainsburys in oldbury too

Paid £125.7 at Asda Wolstanton on Friday. Everywhere else I saw was £1.29-£1.30 ish

Was gonna fill up today but think I'll wait now. I'm from bishop tom so fill up at sainsburys, also have a coupon for 8p off per litre

God you just can't win with the great British public! If fuel prices go up, people complain.

If fuel prices come down, people complain!

Unbelievable. People should be great full its coming down at all and not bloody going up!

The same idiots that don't realise that most of the cost of petrol is tax added by the government, so a 30% drop in oil prices does not equal a 30% fall in petrol prices.

It is actually the other way round. It is the people that know that a large proportion of the fuel cost at the pump is duty which is unaffected by the oil price understand why this is a deal.

James, that is so true after reading some of the replies on this thread maybe those ppl would prefer paying the higher price instead. We are all at the mercy of the big oil companies and the government is unlikely to do much about it anyttime soon, so any saving is welcome in the meantime.

dont forget the price drop is to allow for the ConDem price rise soon ...

so by how much does the petrol price need to drop for the tax to give a price of £1 ?

petrol price has to be around 55 - 60p ish from the companies so how much are petrol companies charging pre tax right now??

at the end of the day any money i can save when i travel 100 miles per day to work and back is a good deal from me

Still way over priced , oil per barrel is down to $90. Some traders predicting a fall to $40 by early next year, nice.
As long as scumbag politicians(all parties) dont use it as a chance to hike fuel duty. oO

When is that rise happening? We need a another fuel blockade.

Just filled up yesterday with £67 so missed this... Was at 134.9 when i filled the tank.

On the hot page again. I never knew so many sheep had driving licences.

We are a country of moaners, yes we are taxed way too much on fuel, but the public do nothing about it! Nothing, just moan moan moan and expect the prices to come down because the government will one day have a change of heart... We are the sheep, we put up with what the government says is fair right or wrong...

This country needs a realistic modern leader who listens and notices the needs of the middle class...

I think you are forgetting tax is about 80p which doesnt change with oil prices, how can so many like that comment

It was 132.7 for diesel at asda Longfellow green yesterday.

same arguments every time lol at least the supermarket fuel is watered down debate hasnt reared its head... yet

2p isnt much per fill - but every little helps, if I work out the saving based over a year of my useage: 2p per litre saves £50, there have been a few 2p reductions the last 6 weeks so thats approx £150 better off per year - not going to complain, keep em coming!

it is overpriced but the point is it is heading in the right direction

Cheers OP, but not really a deal. Petrol is always cheaper during summer.

If people actually woke up to this, maybe we wouldn't get ripped off in summer.
