Asda Direct offer on the latest iPad Air (the bigger screen), the price is discounted at the check-out.

Saw the other offer on Mini3, but think this is the best discount on this iPad amongst the "main" retailers out there.

Save 10% on selected Tablets. Discount applied at the checkout

Only applies to the 16gb version of the Air 2?

Might get john lewis to price match on this

Shocking price, yet another freezing cold Apple deal. oO

Has anyone got JL to price match?

Seems to be only on the 16GB version, not a bad price Vs the rest of the market and you can collect from your local Asdani!

Why not just get an iPad Air 1? I paid £250 for mine from Tesco.

Because you cant get it for 250 from Tesco ☺

cos maybe people want the Air 2 and not the old one?

John Lewis's price matched no problem. So I get the 3 yr warranty and if there's a better deal on Black Friday I'll go back for a second price match! Win-win!!

I understand that cost may be an issue for some folks, but having used the Air and the Air 2 I can safely say that the Air 2 is substantially better than the first one. Much better screen, lighter (don't care about the thickness) and it feels so fast in the hand. That alongside having double the ram should be enough to sway a few people I hope!

Having 2gbs of ram is what's making me get the updated one. I can't stand the ipad mini at the moment

iOS8 ruined the ipad mini 1

It you buy a 16gb ipad you will regret it and end up having to buy another win more storage.

Pretty sure Apple know this and hence the offers are on the 16gb! Shame.

Why can apple deals not get ignored by trolls, For the amount of usage these get they are very reasonable, my iPad 3 is still going strong down to about 7p original cost per hour of usage (based on 4 hours aday), needs charging more frequently than its first few years,

My samsung tablet bought last Christmas has been used a max 10 hours, it's rubbish, so that's at £8 an hour of use..

Apple products may be expensive upfront but they offer great vale for money

I got both and the screen res is the same on both.. Processor is better and lighter.

Not bad, but ill wait until my iPad 2 packs in, still going strong almost 3 years later.

Never said screen res. The actual screen quality is better - compare both and you'll see.

I had the Air and now the Air 2. The screen, ram, finger print sensor and thinness/weight of the device are imo what makes it a worthwhile upgrade. This is a really good price, go for it.

I also went for the 16GB model, I admit I don't store any movies, music or photos on my device, just 10-15 apps and mainly use it to browse the net, read newspaper/papers and watch Youtube videos along with Plex. If you're the same then 16GB is plenty, I have about 5GB's left. If you're going to store even a few movies or more than 15 albums and plenty of high res photos on it, then definitely go for the 64GB model.

how do you get it for £250? Looked online and still £319...

How did you get price match from john lewis? I spoke to them and they said because the marked price on asda is £399 and the £359 is only discounted at checkout they cannot match it.

That shouldn't cause a problem. Follow the 'never knowingly undersold' link on their website, put the details into the online form, copy the link from asda and in the comments box say it's collect at store.
You will get an email back in a few hours telling you that the request is successful.

I emailed John Lewis to see if they would price match - they responded and said 'yes they were happy to price match against Asda Direct'
Ten minutes later they emailed again to say after further investigation they couldnt !
Be careful as the terms of their price matching means that they dont send the discounted money to you until around 5 days after you've received and are happy with the goods. Thats enough time for them to change their mind again !!

Fair enough Each to their own

I used the 'never knowingly undersold' link on John Lewis website to price check the ASDA 10% off deal. Got a reply saying as it wasn't in stock at ASDA they couldn't match it.

Could just be out of stock for the moment, maybe check again tomorrow, can't imagine they'll let it stay like that for long on Black Friday!

You can get an iPad Air 2 16gb for £330 at Rakuten (got this from Tech Radar's Black Friday page). 64gb version is £430.
