Nice plonk for a fiver. Worth it!
Got the last bottle of this in the Leamington Spa Asda on Friday and it was on sale for £4. But still a bargain at £5. Heat added.

Might have to have a quick look in my local tomorrow & if they've got some pop them away for when I've got people to stay at Christmas rather than paying over the odds closer to the time!!
This seems to be one of those red wines that everyone's happy to drink when they're offered it... Even my serious wine snob of a father in law!
£6 in Sainsbury's but 25% off if you buy 6, so works out at £4.50 a bottle - I stocked up on Friday.
Paid £9 for this in local off license. Great price.
£7 just now in my sainsburys local, and having just had a sip, its not bad at all. Does have the usual tempranillo twang, which i quite like. Cant go wrong for a fiver, so long as you dont prefer blander reds.
bought 6 getting ready for xmas although i have cracked it open already!! milton keynes had about half a dozen left
This is very acceptable wine. We stock up when it's this price (when one of the supermarkets normally drop to £5), but also pay full price for this if it isn't on special and we've run out... that sounds terrible reading it back! Off to Asda it is then.
Is this wine the Campo Viejo crianza or (in my view) the inferior Campo Viejo tempranillo? I was informed that the wine wholesalers (Pernod Ricard UK ) for the Campo Viejo label were no longer supplying the crianza for the UK
You can ALWAYS get a good bottle of wine for £4. Thats my rule! You know the deal, how they rotate the prices so they can sell a half price
Great wine at a great price just on the last glass now. ;-)
Try the Elite Reserve. £11.50 at Sainsbury's on offer, down from £16. Having mine with Roast Lamb.

It's the superior (in my opinion too) crianza.

Only a true wine connoisseur could spell two wines incorrectly in the same post

the perfect match to tempranillo...roast lamb. Lovely. In the Rioja region, if you ever visit, one the local specialities is milk fed lamb, washed down with gallons of Rioja of course..
got a couple of these

Campo Viejo crianza IS made from the tempranillo grape, crianza just means how long it has been aged but I guess you already know this. Haven't they just dropped the "crianza" name off the label and replaced it with "tempranillo" as the label is the same yellow colour ? The last crianza I know of was 2008 while tempranillo appears to have been introduced in 2009.
