Think you will find we do

bangers aren't really sausages

not like proper garlic sausage...salamis etc

we don't even have many delis where can peruse all the different types of cured meats

What is a suasage exactly?

A miserable pile of entrails. But enough of this, have at you!

looks like ****.

Could you eat this like a pepperami?

Extra Special...only if you consider it contains stuff you don't expect. I bought two of these when they were last around £1 and found myself chewing on bone a grissle a few times...

Love Chorizo and I have never seen it is this cheap! Usually buy Tesco finest but that's twice the price. Good find.

Yes it can be eaten like pepperami but the taste is far better.

I think you'll find that if you go to a butcher we do - or speciality shops (can think of one in Bath and one off Oxford Street straight away).

my wife loves chorizo in cider!! way hay!!!

Good price, one thing i will say of these is that the skin is a total pain to remove

Excellent in omelettes!

Try the ones from Lidl, they seem to peel off easier than any others we have tried and are just as good.

LOL! Proper garlic sausage/salamis

Sausage market has grown at an astounding rate over the last decade

Lets not confuse cured meats with sausages

Really like these sausages and at one pound will be stocking up and trying to work out a way to to have chorizo sandwiches.

Pity the other is a veggie or could have chorizo with every meal

What skin? What have I been eating?

Is this spicy?

Wahey.

Will give this recipe a try then

My personal favourite for hosting dinner is pan fried duck breast with chorizo bean casserole. Yummm. Off to Asda tomorrow to get some of this. Nice find OP !

LOL, yes, lets not get confused

en.wikipedia.org/wik…age

"Sausage making is a traditional food preservation technique. Sausages may be preserved by curing, drying, or smoking."

british bangers made from mechanically retrieved meat, bulked up with fat, connective tissue and cereals are hardly "sausages", and are not even in the same league as garlic sausage and salami

an astronomical growth rate over the last decade, having started at almost zero, is no match compared to our continental cousins where a deli exists on every french high street, and food courts such as el corte ingles put our own offerings to shame

I'm hungry !

Chorizo and butterbean stew. YUM!

On a continental bread with rocket and whole piquillo peppers just like you get at Borough Market. A little olive oil on the bread to keep it moist....

Yummy!

Oh, I'd better throw away the chorizo then. Damnit, was looking forward to that too. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll be off to M&S shortly.
